This air purifier is exactly what you need for your bedroom, and we decide it will be the next candidate in our list of the best air purifiers. It does enough to warrant upgrading from the previous Blueair DustMagnet 5210i.

The Blueair DustMagnet 5410i isn’t the best performance you can get for your money, its brothers in other families like the Blue Pure 121 or Blueair Classic 405 do better, but its annual cost is the best we’ve seen in a Blueair air purifier, and you’re still getting top-level performance of HEPASilent technology, as well as lots of smart features.

While on their own none of the upgrades are huge to predecessors, they add up to offer a fantastic air purifier experience. And Blueair DustMagnet 5410i starts at $399, meaning it asks only $40 more than its 5200 series siblings. That’s the best “dust-magnet” you can buy right now.

The Blueair DustMagnet 5410i is the company’s most premium air purifier in its own family yet that doesn’t include the textile gray color option like its Blueair DustMagnet 5440i. If you’re looking for an air purifier with just half the price of the powerful Blueair HealthProtect 7770i, this DustMagnet air purifier should suit you perfectly.

Blueair’s design is different between families, but in the same DustMagnet family, the differences are minimal.

Blueair DustMagnet 5410i comes with a very special design that being marketed as the “table” air purifier. It has a small table on top so you can try and put anything on its for convenient. Blueair said that it can hold books, pictures, and more easily. That’s truly the winner of the 2021 iF Design Award and a 2021 Red Dot Design Award.

You get the same matte white color from the original DustMagnet 5210i. If you want the more premium version, you should look for the Blueair DustMagnet 5410i. We’re hoping to get the most expensive DustMagnet air purifier for reviewing.

As a dust magnet, the Blueair DustMagnet 5410i runs the same airflow system concept as its brothers, and it uses double filters for better performance. The air inlets of this air purifier are from both top and bottom, while the air outlets are from each side. The airflow system concept is really strange, as only the DustMagnet series is using it.

The only difference between the Blueair DustMagnet 5410i and its own 5200 siblings is the size. The Blueair DustMagnet 5410i is slightly bigger at 25.6 inches in height and 11.4 inches in width. However, it is 50% increase in weight, as it weighs 15 lbs.

You can find the control panel beneath the table of this air purifier, and it doesn’t have many buttons, because the Blueair DustMagnet 5410i is a smart air purifier. You will control it via smartphone or voice commands.

Blueair DustMagnet 5410i Filters

As the most important criteria to decide the performance of one air purifier, we always look at the quality and material of the air filters, as well as the number of air filter types in the testing device. The last but not least, all of Blueair air filters are naturally anti-bacterial and 100% recyclable. It is free of chemicals and binders.

Unlike the original Blueair DustMagnet 5210i, the Blueair DustMagnet 5410i upgrades the fan power to match the competition. Even with lower tested fan power, both 5400 series can match Medify MA-50‘s power at capturing 99.92% of any particles down to 0.3 microns in 300 square feet, for 1 hour. Such performance is better than the Aeris aair Lite, TruSens Z-3500 or Boneco P400.

The Combo filter of the Blueair DustMagnet 5410i and DustMagnet 5440i is a bit more expensive at $54, but for 12 months of life time, it is still economical.

Blueair DustMagnet 5410i Room Coverage

Blueair DustMagnet 5410i is certified by the AHAM, hence the manufacturer doesn’t need to suggest room coverage for this air purifier. Both 5400 models are certified to clean up to 357 square feet. While that may not match a lot of other manufacturers on paper, we found that any air purifiers complying with AHAM certification is better in terms of quality. That’s why we consider it as an increase in performance ranking. Also, you should check its CADR rating, as the Blueair DustMagnet 5410i is a real deal for its price range.

The ACH of Blueair DustMagnet 5410i is 5X. This ACH rating is certified by AHAM too, so you can enjoy clean air every 12 minutes.

The CADR of Blueair DustMagnet 5410i is 240 Dust/ 230 Smoke/ 255 Pollen (cfm). It is nearly as good as other Blueair air purifiers like the Blueair Pro M.

Blueair DustMagnet 5410i Sound

At higher fan power, you should expect a louder noise level from the Blueair DustMagnet 5410i. I measured the Blueair DustMagnet 5410i to run at 30 decibels (dB) on lowest fan speed, so I bet its lowest fan power must be on higher level to load enough air into its dual filters. Still, its noise level is the same as the whisper, and you won’t notice any sound at all.

On highest fan power, the Blueair DustMagnet 5410i performs a little better than the Blue Pure 311 Auto at 51 decibels. This is the effectiveness of HEPASilent technology.
