The Blue Pure 211i Max is the most powerful Blue Pure air purifier Blueair has ever made, and it’s easily the best. It’s priced at $349, and you’ll find it available directly from Blueair as well as major retailers including Amazon.

Sure, the Blue Signature series has expanded since this model launched, but for coverage or performance reasons, you might still be considering Blueair’s top-end Blue Pure purifier. While Blueair keeps its smaller Blue Pure 311i Max and Blue Pure 511i Max models in steady rotation, the Blue Pure 211i Max sits at the top of the Blue Pure range, representing the brand’s most powerful consumer offering.

After debuting as part of Blueair’s Blue Pure Max refresh, Blueair confirmed that the Blue Pure 211i Max would be the flagship of the new generation; while the Blue Pure 411i Max and Blue Pure 311i Max cover smaller rooms, Blueair designed the Blue Pure 211i Max specifically for large and extra-large spaces.

The Blue Pure 211i Max will do the same job as the Levoit Core 600S does, at the same price range. There are other air purifiers to consider: like the Airmega 250S, Winix T830 or Honeywell HPA6000, they all share the similar price to the Blue Pure 211i Max, but they can’t compete with the same performance.

Blue Pure 211i Max Design and Size

The Blue Pure 211i Max is large. It remains the biggest Blue Pure model that Blueair has ever made, if only in terms of internal filter volume. However, as it also has the cylindrical form of the Blue Pure Max family, with its 360° air intake design, it feels larger in a room than its dimensions suggest.

Remember the Blue Pure 211 Auto? The Blue Pure 211i Max is bigger with 22.7 inches in height, and 14.4 inches in width. That’s not to say this is a bad thing – if you’re not buying the Blue Pure 211i Max because you want maximum air cleaning in a large room, then you’re kind of missing the point. Large room air purifiers are usually… big.

The bigger footprint means the Blue Pure 211i Max will take more spaces than even the old Blue Pure 121. At this rate, we don’t know what if the Blue Pure 121i Max (or 111i Max) is real, how big can it be?

One of the key characteristics of the Blue Pure 211i Max is the interchangeable fabric pre-filter system – the base unit is a neutral white and grey, and pre-filters are available in Stockholm Fog (included), Limestone White, Dusk, and Slate. It is the same idea since the previous Blue Pure Auto series.

Essentially, the design of the Blue Pure 211i Max is just a larger version of the Blue Pure 411i Max and Blue Pure 311i Max, and despite the size it still sits neatly on the floor, and it’s easy to hit the fan speed button on top and the auto and night mode controls beside it.

Finally, the Blue Pure 211i Max is heavy. At 16.2 lbs, moving it around isn’t an easy task.

Blue Pure 211i Max Filters

We check the performance of one air purifiers based on its air filters’ quality and material, as well as the number of air filter types in the testing device. The Blue Pure 211i Max uses the signature Blue 3-stage air cleaning system.

The Blue Pure 211i Max keeps the practical and signature HEPASilent technology as its air filtration system. By combining both mechanical filter and electrostatic charges, this translates to faster, quieter and more energy-efficient air cleaning than traditional HEPA filters alone.

But the real performance of this Blue Pure 211i Max is mainly from its efficient and powerful fan motor. To test the Blue Pure 211i Max, we use the same test as most mid-range contenders from the best air purifier brands, like the Airmega 350, Winix 9800, Airmega Mighty 2, GermGuardian Airsafe XL+ and Medify MA-40. Blue Pure 211i Max Room Coverage

We can confirm the Blue Pure 211i Max is an AHAM-verified air purifier, just like its predecessors. It is suggested for rooms up to 674 square feet, based on 5 air changes per hour.

The ACH of the Blue Pure 211i Max is 5X. In the suggested room size, the unit exchanges air 5 times per hour.

The CADR of the Blue Pure 211i Max is 452 Dust/ 435 Smoke/ 450 Pollen (cfm). Such performance is even better than the power of the old Blue Pure 121, at a cheaper price in 2026. Honestly, this is the only large room air purifier that you need, at least until Blueair discontinues it.

Blue Pure 211i Max Sound

Normally we don’t expect such large room air purifier to run quietly, but really, the Blue Pure 211i max knows how to trim down the noise level to only 23 decibels (dB). It is as good as the smaller Blue Pure 311i Max.

On max power, the noise level of the Blue Pure 211i Max can reach 58 decibels (dB). It is still good for its performance, but it is audible for most people.

Blue Pure 211i Max Power Consumption

Remember only one thing: you need to complete the Product Registration form within 60 days of purchase or register through the Blueair Friend mobile app to secure the 5-year warranty. Otherwise, you only benefit from a 1-year warranty. Moreover, do not attempt to bring the air purifier outside of the United States or Canada, or your warranty will be void immediately. All Blueair warranties are non-transferable.

Our verdict

The Blue Pure 211i Max is the closest air purifier to an “S” ranking, but its high annual filter cost makes it in the same spot with its brothers. Still, it is the best air purifier at the moment.
