Winix 5530 Price

The Winix 5530 is the newest model in this lineup, having been released in 2026. It is essentially another variant of the Winix 5510 and Winix 5520, both of which serve as successors to the popular Winix 5500-2. The Winix 5530 features a redesigned front grille and introduces a new white color option, much like the Winix C535 did in the past. This gives the air purifier a fresher appearance while maintaining the same core design philosophy as its sibling models.

The Winix 5530 launched at a retail price of $179, but Winix appears to be aggressively promoting the new model. If the deal is still available, we recommend checking the Breathe Quality offer, which lowers the price of the Winix 5530 to just $129 for a limited time.

The Winix 5530 competes primarily with leading models in this price category, such as the Levoit Core 400S and Blue Pure 311i Max. However, it often comes in at a significantly lower price, making it one of the strongest value-oriented options in its class. If you can grab our deal right now, the Winix 5530 is simply the highest performer for the price you pay.

Winix 5530 Design and Size

The Winix 5530 continues the design of the Winix 5500-2 in an even different way than the previous Winix 5520. Not only does it change the front grille design again (the 5520 is different from the original), it has a new color option. Actually, we find the new Winix 5530 more similar to the Winix AM90 or Winix C545, rather than the legendary 5500-2.

In practice, the decision often comes down to which design you prefer. Most Winix air purifiers are built on the same core platform, offering very similar pricing, performance, and features. The Winix 5530 follows that formula closely, so if you prefer its appearance, especially the lighter color option that tends to show dust and fingerprints less readily than traditional matte-black finishes, it is an easy model to recommend.

Other than that, the Winix 5530 shares the same dimensions as its other 5500-2 successors, with 25.2 inches in height and 13.6 inches in width. The Winix 5530 weighs around 13.3 lbs, similar to the previous 5510 and 5520.

Of course, the Winix 5530 will use the same front-to-top airflow system concept. The top control panel is traditional to Winix, and it feels the same as its brothers.

Winix 5530 Filters

We check the performance of one air purifiers based on its air filters’ quality and material, as well as the number of air filter types. The Winix 5530 runs the signature Winix 4-stage air cleaning system.

  1. Pre-filter – The polluted air must pass through a fine mesh pre-filter. This pre-filter will capture the large objects of contaminants, such as pet hair and even some kinds of pet dander and skin.
  2. Activated Carbon filter – The air filter can adsorb household odors from cooking, pets, and smoke and reduce VOCs.
  3. True HEPA filter – The True HEPA Filter that captures 99.97% of as small as 0.3 microns allergens, virus particles, pollen, mold and fungi particles.
  4. Winix PlasmaWave – This technology is somehow an ionizer, which can further reduce the amount of pollutants. Can be switched on/off.

At this point, the combination of a mechanical True HEPA filter and PlasmaWave technology hardly needs an introduction. It is a proven formula that remains effective, reliable, and powerful. If you are looking for one of the best air purifiers available, backed by testing and certification from some of the most respected laboratories and organizations in the industry, the Winix 5530 is certainly a model worth considering.

For the ressult, the Winix 5530 shares the same result as the Winix 5510 and Winix 5520, under the same conditions. It is better than some competitors like the GermGuardian AC5900 and the Coway Airmega 160, though the difference isn’t large.

Winix 5530 review

We need the new Winix filter Q for the Winix 5510, 5520 and 5530, which is a little bigger than the traditional Filter H. It is also costlier at $79, and you must replace filter every 12 months.

The Winix 5530 uses the newer fan motor, but it isn’t designed to be the quietest on the market. On its lowest setting, the Winix 5530 has a noise level of 30 decibels (dB), which is far noisier than a more portable unit like the Winix C610 or Winix T810.

Winix 5530 Power Consumption

One of our most FAQs is “Do air purifiers use a lot of energy?” In fact, air purifier must be used for a long time to be efficient. And power consumption is one important criteria to review if this air purifier is good or not.

The Winix 5530 and its sibling models are not Energy Star certified, but it is still better than the predecessor Winix 5500-2. Its power consumption is 65 watts.

Winix 5530 Additional Features

The Winix 5530 comes with the full set of features you would expect from a modern Winix air purifier. Most importantly, it includes Wi-Fi connectivity, allowing you to control the device remotely through the Winix Smart app. While the app is relatively straightforward in terms of features, it provides everything most users need to monitor and control the air purifier without leaving their seat.

And don’t forget the signature dual air sensors of the Winix 5530, which is staple among Winix air purifiers, too. These sensors are highly effective at detecting changes in indoor air conditions and can automatically adjust the fan speed whenever a significant change in air quality is detected.

Finally, we have a light sensor to activate the Sleep mode for the air purifier. There is an LED indicator for filter replacement.
