Not only is Blueair entering the air purifier + humidifier segment, but it’s also bringing hybrid air purifiers with cooling and heating into the mid-range market. The Blueair ComfortPure T10i is about $200 cheaper than the Dyson HP07, which naturally makes you wonder if there’s a catch. Let’s find out in the Blueair ComfortPure T10i review.
Other Blueair’s Air Purifier Reviews:
Blueair ComfortPure T10i Price
The best air purifiers are typically single-purpose appliances, but sometimes modern lives require the hybrid air purifiers, and in this case, a 3-in-1 unit that heats, cools, and cleans. That’s why we have the Dyson Pure Hot+Cool, which goes up to the new Dyson Purifier Hot+Cool HP2.
The problem is that all Dyson units are expensive, which is why there’s a market for the Blueair ComfortPure T10i – a hybrid air purifier that costs only $499. If you find a deal on our website, the price can drop even further, down to $385.
Costing around half the price of some Dyson 3-in-1 air purifiers like the Dyson HP09, it’s clearly the choice for anyone wanting multi-function comfort without flagship spending. But what compromises did Blueair need to make to deliver heating, cooling, and purification in a single compact tower?
Blueair ComfortPure T10i, Gray and White.
Most powerful 3-in-1 air purifier: cooling, heating, purifying. HEPASilent technology, covers 840 sq ft in 1 hour.

Blueair ComfortPure T10i Design and Size
The Blueair ComfortPure T10i exceeded my expectations when I first set it up, as it’s built in a clean tower form factor and sports a relatively refined top-mounted touchscreen interface. It may look a little understated when set against pricier alternatives like the Dyson HP09, but it does the job. At least it isn’t a Dyson clone like many other Chinese air purifiers would do.
Standing upright, the Blueair ComfortPure T10i measures 19.8 inches tall. While this is compact for a 3-in-1 appliance, it’s actually taller than most Blueair standalone air purifiers. However, the Blueair ComfortPure T10i has a compact footprint with a round shape, measuring 10.3 inches in diameter.
The soft-touch exterior is colour-matched across the full body, with white and gray options available. By being matte, the Blueair ComfortPure T10i is excellent at concealing household dust, and the only prominent visual element is the slim circular display panel on the top. The color choice is also similar to other modern Blueair units, like the newest Blueair 2-in-1 Purify+Humidify Pro DH5i.
The top-mounted touchscreen is minimal, surrounded by a compact status ring showing air quality indicators, and its clean interface vibe is charming. It’s responsive enough to use without the app, and the interface is very simple, making it easy to navigate until you want deeper customisation of your Blueair ComfortPure T10i.
With a compact 10.3-by-10.3-inch footprint, the Blueair ComfortPure T10i is easy to position in most spaces, and the 350-degree oscillation does a good job of sweeping clean air across the room – so you can direct the airflow to where you need it most with real flexibility.
Blueair chooses a very unique airflow system concept for the Blueair ComfortPure T10i. It draws air from the back then delivers cooling and heating airflow from the front, and purified air from the top. So, the complex airflow system concept is one reason to hinder the fan power of the ComfortPure T10i.
The Blueair ComfortPure T10i weighs 13.5 lbs, making it heavier than even the new Blue Signature. Without the handle, it isn’t a simple task to move the air purifier around.

Blueair ComfortPure T10i Filters
We check the performance of one air purifiers based on its air filters’ quality and material, as well as the number of air filter types in the testing device. Being a hybrid air purifier, the Blueair ComfortPure T10i has a 3-stage air cleaning system.
- Pre-filter – A simple mesh pre-filter to catch large particles from the air.
- Particle filter – Instead of using a True HEPA filter, the Blueair ComfortPure T10i runs a polypropylene fiber filter to help capture 99.97% of all allergens as small as 0.3 microns like dust, dust mites, pet dander, pollen and fungi (HEPASilent technology).
- Activated carbon filter – Traps household odors from pets, cooking and smoking.
Powered by HEPASilent technology combining electrostatic and mechanical filtration, the Blueair ComfortPure T10i’s filtration system may not eliminate stronger chemical odors as effectively as activated carbon models, but won’t hold it back from delivering noticeably cleaner air for the most common household pollutants.
However, the Blueair ComfortPure T10i’s actual performance in its price range is… horrible. As you can see, it can only capture 87.96% of all particles down to 0.3 microns in a closed space, for 1 hour. The Blueair ComfortPure T20i does a much better job, though it is still behind the Airmega 250 and AeraMax SE – which are standalone air purifiers.

If there is one thing we should love the air filtration system of the Blueair ComfortPure T10i, it is certainly the annual filter cost. You only need to replace the filter after 9 months, and the filter cost is just $65, which is reasonable for a mid-range air purifier.

Blueair ComfortPure T10i Room Coverage
The Blueair ComfortPure T10i is AHAM-certified for rooms up to 175 square feet. Perhaps this relatively low rating motivated Blueair to release the ComfortPure T20i soon after, to improve overall performance.
The ACH of the Blueair ComfortPure T10i is 5X. Being certified by AHAM, the Blueair ComfortPure T10i exchange air every 12 minutes, under the suggested room coverage.
The CADR of the Blueair ComfortPure T10i is 129 Dust/ 113 Smoke/ 132 Pollen (cfm). At $499, the Blueair ComfortPure T20i is weaker than an only $299 Blue Signature SP3i.

Blueair ComfortPure T10i Sound
At least, there is one advantage for having the low fan speed: the low noise level. By improving the HEPASilent technology for decades, Blueair reduces the noise level simply by lowering the actual fan power for similar performance. As a result, you can use the Blueair ComfortPure T10i in your bedroom. The lowest noise level is just 24 decibels (dB), and it is just like the whisper.
At the highest speed, the Blueair ComfortPure T10i produces a moderate noise level of 47 dB. This is quieter than a typical office environment, and we believe you can even sleep with this level of white noise.

Blueair ComfortPure T10i Power Consumption
One of our most FAQs is “Do air purifiers use a lot of energy?” An air purifier is meant to run for a long time to be efficient, that’s why many air purifier brands consider the energy-saving standard, mostly in the rate of Energy Star, is one important selling point.
The Blueair ComfortPure T10i has a good performance per watt, because its purification wattage is only 19 watts. However, you should remember that a heating device needs much more wattage to do its job, and the heating wattage of the Blueair ComfortPure T10i is 1000 watts. It is far below the maximum power consumption of the Dyson Purifier Hot+Cool HP1, but its heating capability is lower.
If you run the Blueair ComfortPure T10i for 8 hours per day, you need to spend $8 annually, but that’s only for air purifier part.

Blueair ComfortPure T10i Additional Features
The Blueair ComfortPure T10i’s climate functions are the one area where Blueair scales things back relative to purpose-built climate control rivals. The PTC heater misses out on thermostat-style temperature targeting, while the cooling function doesn’t actually chill the air – it circulates room-temperature air at speed to create a cooling sensation. On the plus, it’s a genuine 1000W PTC element, which can still raise a room’s temperature meaningfully with consistent use.
It is actually the concept of a 3-in-1 device, and the Blueair ComfortPure T10 does a pretty decent job while keeping such a small footprint. If you give the Blueair ComfortPure T10i enough clear floor space and a well-chosen central position, you’ll have the best chance of success.
Through the Blueair app, you can monitor air quality and adjust fan speed, oscillation, and ECO mode remotely from your phone, and the Blueair ComfortPure T10i runs its Smart Sensor in Auto mode to respond to detected pollutant levels, stepping fan speed up or down as conditions change.
There is a remote control out of the box for anyone who don’t like to download a convenient app. It can access to the simple fan control like: heating, cooling and oscillation. You can also set up Night mode and Auto mode for your air purifier.
Other than that, the Blueair ComfortPure T10i has everything for a modern air purifier: Child lock function, timer, and a LED indicator for filter replacement.

Our verdict
The Blueair ComfortPure T10i is still quite expensive for its performance, because it lacks of competition. But still, Blueair released the Blueair ComfortPure T20i as a more capable air purifier for the price, and we believe the T10i will soon be out of stock.
