And while it’s true that the GermGuardian AC4300BPTCA does not bring any superior air filtering innovation, it does represent a shift in strategy from Guardian Technologies. Other GermGuardian’s Air Purifier Reviews:
GermGuardian AC4300BPTCA Price
As a tradition, the 22-inch device will have a drop in the price of the bigger 28-inch GermGuardian air purifier. That’s why we can believe that GermGuardian AC4300BPTCA will be much more affordable than GermGuardian AC5300B. When this air purifier launched, it stays at $119, the same price with GermGuardian AC5000.
For the same price, you can check the Amazon’s Best Seller Levoit LV-H132 or the Biota Bot MM108. They don’t have the signature UV-C light feature like GermGuardian AC4300BPTCA, but with a different air flow structure.
Also, we always try to give our readers the greatest deal, so if you are follow our link below, you can purchase this GermGuardian AC4300BPTCA air purifier at only $99, or maybe even lower.

GermGuardian AC4300BPTCA Design and Size
As you may already know, the GermGuardian AC4300BPTCA looks identical to the CDAP4500BCA. There is no White version for this air purifier, making it easily be mistaken for the latest flagship small device of Guardian Technologies.
GermGuardian AC4300BPTCA will be only 22 inches in height. As someone who’s been putting the GermGuardian 28-inch tower air purifiers on the floor, using the GermGuardian AC4300BPTCA made us bend down to press the button. It is ridiculous at first, but with only 9.45 lbs, you can easily put this air purifier on a side table.
Just like the AC5300B, GermGuardian AC4300BPTCA displays a circular light on the front. Also, from the back, you still have an intake air grill. GermGuardian AC4300BPTCA air purifier features the same air flow as others from this brand.
At the top, the control panel is the same as its bigger brother, with 2 buttons and a LED filter replacement indicator.

GermGuardian AC4300BPTCA Filters
To decide the power of an air purifier, basically we will look at how many filters it has and the air filter types are used. The GermGuardian AC4300BPTCA is powered by the same 3-in-1 air cleaning process that’s inside the AC5300B, AC5000 and AC4825.
- Pre-filter – It’s the same pre-filter with GermGuardian AC4825E. It combines with Activated Carbon Filter to remove the large particles of pollutants and reduce odors created from smoke, cooking, and pets.
- True HEPA filter – GermGuardian AC4300BPTCA also uses a True HEPA Filter to capture 99.97% of allergens including pet dander, dust mites and pollen as small as 0.3 microns in size.
- UV-C Light – This air purifier is also using an UV bulb to kill airborne bacteria, viruses and mold spores.
There are no key differences here, GermGuardian AC4300BPTCA’s True HEPA filter is the same filter-B of this brand, meaning this air purifier performs as good as GermGuardian AC4825 or GermGuardian CDAP4500BCA.
With an addition of an UV-C light bulb, the 3-in-1 air cleaning system from AC4300BPTCA is great at killing mold, viruses and bacteria.
One more thing to remember, you need to change the air filter every 6-8 months base on 24/7 use.

GermGuardian AC4300BPTCA Sound
With only 3 fan speeds, GermGuardian AC4300BPTCA runs with less noise than most air purifiers from this brand. We only notice an apparent noise level at the highest setting.
Through rigorous tests, I have measured a stable lowest noise level of 40 decibels, which is higher than most other normal air purifiers in the same price range. For example, the AeraMax 200 and AeraMax 300 can reduce the noise level as far as 35 decibels. You will also find the SilverOnyx with 25 decibels, or the Winix 5300-2 with noise level of only 28 decibels.
And when you switch to the highest setting, the noise level of GermGuardian AC4300BPTCA can reach as high as 55 decibels (db). This noise level is quite common in the world of air purifier, but for an air purifier with low fan power, it is quite unacceptable.
If you plan to run this GermGuardian AC4300BPTCA in quiet places, make sure don’t switch it to the highest setting.

GermGuardian AC4300BPTCA Power Consumption
A good air purifier must be used for a long time to be efficient, and one of the most asked questions in Breathe Quality is: “Do air purifiers use a lot of energy?”. We can all agree that power consumption is one important criteria to review if this air purifier is worth your money or not.
Using the same 5 watts UV-C bulb as AC5300B, GermGuardian AC4300BPTCA consumes even much less energy than the GermGuardian AC4825 or GermGuardian AC5000. We recorded that the power consumption of this air purifier is only 60 watts.
For using a GermGuardian AC4300BPTCA 8 hours per day, it would cost you up to $22 per year. It is reasonable for an Energy Star air purifier, but you can find many others with much lower power consumption, like the Blue Pure 411, Levoit LV-H132, SilverOnyx or AeraMax 100.

GermGuardian AC4300BPTCA Additional Features
Like its brother – GermGuardian AC5300B and GermGuardian AC5350B, GermGuardian AC4300BPTCA comes with no additional features rather than a filter replacement indicator. Yes, you will not have even a timer in this air purifier.
If you opt in for better additional features, you should pay up $50 for a Wifi-enabled CDAP4500BCA air purifier.
GermGuardian AC4300BPTCA Customer Service
There is not much to say about the brilliant support from Guardian Technologies’s customer service. The American brand is providing a very active support for anyone contacting them. They also put the Instruction Manuals online to help you solve the common questions by yourself. But if you can’t find a solution, just contact the customer service via phone at 866-603-5900 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Just like any other brands, they will be available for you from Monday to Friday.
They have occasional Free Shipping policy, as well as a great discount on all products (most popular 10% to 20%). Whenever you find their air purifiers not as great as you previously thought, you can return them within 30 days of your original receipt of the order. And don’t worry about the warranty policy of Guardian Technologies, as they warrant their products to be free of defects in materials or workmanship. You can register for a warranty in up to 3 years for the small devices, and up to 5 years for others.
For the GermGuardian AC4825, GermGuardian AC4300BPTCA and GermGuardian CDAP4500BCA, you will have a 3-year warranty.
Just like the GermGuardian AC5300B, GermGuardian AC4300BPTCA changes from GermGuardian AC4825 with only new appearance. To top up $20 for this new appearance, we could believe it is unreasonable. But in most ways that we use this GermGuardian AC4300BPTCA, it is still a good air purifier, provided you can live with a smaller size air purifier and that’s something that will ultimately boil down to personal preference.
Should I buy GermGuardian AC4300BPTCA?
Well, the GermGuardian AC4300BPTCA is only the GermGuardian AC4825 with new appearance, so if you don’t need such change, then no.
- If you have serious allergies or asthma to airborne pollutants: the GermGuardian AC4300BPTCA is great with the combination of True HEPA filter and UV-C light filter.
- If you want a better performance, or better fan power to clean your room faster: in this price range, the GermGuardian AC4300BPTCA has average fan power.
- If you need an air purifier with a better room coverage: you need to pay about $20 more for the InvisiClean Aura II for the room coverage of 320 square feet. The AeraMax 200 is also for a room coverage of 200 square feet to 400 square feet.
- If you need a budget version of this air purifier: this is one of the most budget air purifiers of this brand, or you can buy the GermGuardian AC4825 with $20 less.
- If you need a more silent air purifier: you should get the Levoit LV-H126 or Levoit LV-H132 instead.
- If you care about the annual filter cost and energy cost: the Blue Pure 411 and Levoit LV-H132 are better options for you.
- If you love the additional features: you can only get the AeraMax 100 or SilverOnyx for the Smart Sensor.
- Cleaning Power
- Power Consumption
A good air purifier, but an increase of $20 for a modern appearance with GermGuardian AC4825 makes GermGuardian AC4300BPTCA ridiculous.
