For anyone who has been bored with an air filtration alone, but doesn’t want to spend a fortune for things like Sharp KC-860U, Dyson Pure Hot+Cool or Boneco H680, the Envion Four Seasons shows more attention by combining the extra features of all these expensive products, and cover in only one budget air purifier.

The tech landscape swings to hybrid air purifiers with extra features which rely on fan power: for example, humidifier, dehumidifier, cooling fan or heater. These in turn are lorded-over by a few companies, like Boneco, Dyson and Sharp.

Honestly, to say whether the Envion Four Seasons is revolutionary enough to succeed is debatable. But for the price, the Envion Four Seasons is better than all of these aforementioned air purifiers. It costs you only $149, and is only available in the U.S market currently. For such price, the Envion Four Seasons FS200 only asks you nearly the same as the Envion Allergy Pro AP200 or other Therapure flagships like Therapure TPP440 or Therapure TPP540.

And with so much extra features on one air purifier: cooling fan, heater and humidifier combo, perhaps I can’t find a proper competitor for the Envion Four Seasons. Only the Oreck Air Refresh and Boneco W200 with only humidifier feature is available, but it costs a bit more than our today air purifier.

So far, if you love more features to play along with air purifier core function, the Envion Four Seasons is the only device you can get. It truly deserves its name, to give you four seasons in your home.

Envion Four Seasons FS200 Design and Size

Perhaps this is the most disappointed part of the Envion Four Seasons FS200. Though being distinctive, it can’t hide the old design language for any tower air purifiers of Envion. It’s old, and unattractive. I wish that the Envion Four Sessions can just take the mantle of the previous Envion Ionic Pro Platinum, in my opinion, which is the best modern tower design of the whole Envion family.

Well, the design of Envion Four Seasons doesn’t even bring to mind that of the Ionic Pro flagship, though it is albeit in budget form. Still, you get a tower air purifier with 25.6 inches in height (the standard of Envion tower air purifier’s height), and the width of 9 inches. It is a bit huge with the depth of 10.2 inches, and I’ve crossed many reviews telling the air purifier is too big for their rooms.

Instead the body of the Envion Four Seasons is made from sturdy feeling plastic that doesn’t feel expensive, combining with black and silver colors, which I don’t find it premium on the plastic build that much. Yeah, it is big and ugly, but you should bear in mind that the Envion Four Seasons is the combo of 4 different devices, and it’s worth the space to place it.

The large grill both on front and behind of the Envion Four Seasons even give us a feeling of a big device. This air purifier uses a simple back-to-front air flow system concept, which is popular in the old tower air purifier model. Today, tower air purifiers tend to use 360° air intake, to maximize the fan power.

On top of this Envion Four Seasons, we have a simple control panel. The right knob is for heater function, and the left knob is for humidifier function. It’s quite strange that Envion labels “heater” and “fan speed” functions, but just only mentions the “humidifier” part as “function”. Well, it’s a bit weird for the instruction, right?

Though it is big, the Envion Four Seasons FS200 weighs only 10.6 lbs, without the full water tank. Thanks to a large handle, you can easily carry it anywhere in your home.

Envion Four Seasons FS200 Filters

Envion Four Seasons is a 4-in-1 device, so the air purifier function is just only one part of this air purifier, and we can’t expect it to contain many air filters, because it needs space for the humidifier wick, the water tank and double fan power for both cooling and heating.

1. True HEPA filter – A True HEPA Filter can reduce 99.97% of down to 0.3 microns dust mites allergens, virus particles, pollen, bacteria particles.

However, the Envion Four Seasons contains a True HEPA filter, which can only be found in the Envion Therapure EA150 and Envion Allergy Pro AP200. Well, with good fan power, the Envion Four Seasons can clean much better than even the sixth-gen Therapure air purifiers: Therapure TPP620 and Therapure TPP630. As you can see from the chart below, our today air purifier is only behind the Vornado AC350, GermGuardian AC5000 and Levoit Core P350.

I recommend you to check the official Boneco store for the filter, which is suggested to change after 6-12 months, depending on use. The Envion FS200’s HEPA filter is around $34, and you can get cheaper from our deal.

Envion Four Seasons FS200 Room Coverage

Envion only mentions that we can use the Envion Four Seasons in medium to large rooms, but they didn’t give a specific room size. In real-world use, I believe the room coverage of this air purifier is around 150 square feet.

The ACH of Envion Four Seasons is 3x. It can exchange the air in your room every 20 minutes.

The CADR of Envion Four Seasons is 80 cfm in general. It is at least 6 times lower than a Dyson Pure Hot+Cool, and 10 times lower than Dyson Pure Cool Tower. So to say, the Envion Four Seasons is only for personal use, and you can’t run it to heat or cool a large room. Now I understand why many reviewers told that its cooling fan power wasn’t working, and why you need to pay double the price to get the Dyson air purifier.

Envion Four Seasons FS200 Sound

Envion Four Seasons only has half the fan power of a Therapure device, so even with a True HEPA filter, it performs quietly. In fact, the average noise level of this air purifier is only 40 decibels (db), which is just like the library mode.

Again, I must remind you the Envion Four Seasons FS200 is just a personal air purifier, and it is meant for using in bedroom.

Envion Four Seasons FS200 Power Consumption

One of our most FAQs is “Do air purifiers use a lot of energy?” because we need to run an air purifier for a constant long time, and power consumption is really a thing to consider.

Envion Four Seasons, with a heater function, consumes a lot of energy in use. It can go as high as 1300 watts, which is equal to a normal heater. If you turn off the heater, the power consumption is 80 watts, which is still high for an air purifier.

Running an Envion Four Seasons for 8 hours per day, and you need to pay $29 each year. This is only when you don’t use the heater.

Envion Four Seasons FS200 Additional Features

The unique selling point of the budget Envion Four Seasons is its four functions. You can use all four functions: air purifier, heater, cooling fan, humidifier individually or combine all of them. Remember that the air purifying function can’t be turned off, and that’s why I still consider the Envion Four Seasons an air purifier by default.

Whenever you turn on the Envion Four Seasons, its fan power will run. There are 3 humidifier settings and another 3 heater settings for you to select. There is an empty water sensor for smart automatic power shut-off for the humidifier. Also, the heater will turn off if the unit is tipped.

Finally, there is an indicator for reminding you when to refill the water tank.

Envion Four Seasons FS200 could be the most innovative air purifier of the Envion family, one air purifier marks with too many impressions. Of course, the air purifier has a few problems for combining too many things in one body, but it’s cheap, and it will save you from buying at least 3 other devices.
