Weak performance and low-fi tech, but the physical HEPA filter makes the Envion Therapure TPP100 worth its money than the previous Envion Therapure TPP50. In our today Envion Therapure TPP100 Review, you will get to know everything about the mini compact HEPA air purifier of this company.
Update: If you like the flagships of one brand, you should look for the Envion Therapure TPP440.

Envion is a big air purifier brand with lots of released products in only 5 years, as the brand is one subsidiary of the Swiss incorporation Boneco. The Envion Therapure TPP100 is one of the many first models in Therapure series, and I believe this is the first thorough and honest reviews about this air purifier online. So, let’s get back to the Envion Therapure TPP100 Review.
Other Envion’s Air Purifier Reviews:
Envion Therapure TPP100 Price
The Envion Therapure TPP100 has a different modern form to suggest it should cost more than the $59 they will charge you for it in the high street. It immediately grabs attention for being the only air purifier in this family with such design concept, and honestly it’s more like a personal air purifier than the previous Envion Therapure TPP50.
Its price is also the most affordable in the Envion family, even lower than the entry-level Envion Ionic Pro CA200. If you wonder the performance of this air purifier over its Ionic Pro brother, you should scroll down to the “Filters” section to know the answer. You should check the Envion Therapure EA150, too, because this air purifier is one of the newest devices from this company.
In this price range, normally you can only get the most budget air purifiers of any brands, such as Hamilton Beach 04386 and Hamilton Beach 04384. As a personal air purifier itself, I also count the Airdog FitAir as the opponent of our today Envion Therapure Mini TPP100, but the price of this HEPA air purifier is nearly double.

Envion Therapure TPP100 Design and Size
The Envion Therapure TPP100 surely take inspiration from the other common personal air purifiers in the market, for example the Airdog FitAir. It is a simple Blue Pure 411 cut in half, with the height of only 7.4 inches, which may be everyone’s idea of “compact air purifier” to be. You can also check the KOIOS or Mooka air purifiers for the same price and design.
There is only one gray color option for the Envion Therapure TPP100, removing completely the dull-ish look from the old Envion Therapure TPP50.
We have 4 parts of this air purifier: the body on top with air outlet under the control panel, the HEPA filter, the air inlet grills and finally, the filter lock mechanism. Envion Therapure TPP100 will run the common bottom-to-top air flow system concept, and deliver the fresh air out of top.
We have a simple control panel on this air purifier, with only one power button and two indicator for fan speeds.
Our today Envion Therapure TPP100 weighs only 0.68 lbs, and it is lightweight enough to be brought anywhere. However, you should remember to bring the wall adapter along, and this air purifier will only run indoors. If you want a specializing personal air purifier, I guess you must raise the budget for IQAir Atem or Dyson Pure Cool Me.

Envion Therapure TPP100 Filters
Envion Therapure TPP100, with the cylindrical design concept, will make use of the 360° air filter with component as below.
- HEPA-type filter – It is not a True HEPA filter, and the quality is much inferior. It is able to capture mold, smoke, germs, bacteria, viruses, common allergens, pet dander & odor from the air in your home.
Again, I made a same test as the previous Envion Ionic Pro CA200, in a room of 100 square feet and let the air purifier run for 1 hour. I also chose the Levoit Vista 200 and GermGuardian AC4100 as the testing samples, to compare with the performance of our today unit. The result, the Envion Therapure TPP100 with so little fan power, can only clean 60% of any particles as small as 0.3 microns. Meanwhile, the Levoit Vista 200 is the best performer, with efficiency up to 99.7%.
The HEPA-type air filter from Envion Therapure TPP100 is said to be permanent, and you mustn’t wash the air filter by any means. Instead, you should vacuum and clean it with a slightly damp cloth. After the acquisition of Boneco, it seems the Swiss air purifier company applied new technology for the Therapure TPP100, to deliver the TPF100F Thera-silver filter, with an anti-microbial coating. It can prevent the growth of bacteria, mold and viruses on the filter, but it only lasts for 1 year.

Envion Therapure TPP100 Room Coverage
With the same price as the old Envion Therapure TPP50, Envion Therapure TPP100 can clean the same room of 115 square feet.
The ACH of Envion Therapure TPP100 is 3x. With this air changes per hour rating, the air purifier can exchange the fresh air every 20 minutes.
The CADR of Envion Therapure TPP100 is 30 Dust/ 27 Smoke/ 29 Pollen (cfm).

Envion Therapure TPP100 Sound
The Envion Therapure Series has one key advantage thanks to its “weak” fan power – the silent operation. Do you know that 80% of audiences came to Breathe Quality to look for the best air purifier for bedroom? Having an air purifier to clean the air and not to interrupt your sleep is more and more essential.
For an air purifier using HEPA filter like Envion Therapure TPP100, keeping the noise level for 28 decibels (db) is really impressive. The noise level is lower than the measured noise level of whisper, so you won’t notice any sound that can keep you awake at night.
Even on highest speed, the noise level of Envion Therapure TPP100 is only 42 decibels, which is the same as the library mode. If you are going to use this air purifier, you can use it even while sleeping.

Envion Therapure TPP100 Power Consumption
One of our most FAQs is “Do air purifiers use a lot of energy?” because we need to run an air purifier for a constant long time, and power consumption is really a thing to consider.
Your Envion Therapure TPP100, again, keep the rated power to be as low as 8 watts, and you don’t need to worry about your energy bill forever.
Running an Envion Therapure TPP100 for 8 hours per day, and you need to pay only $3 each year.

Envion Therapure TPP100 Additional Features
Normally I don’t expect any additional features from an air purifier under $100. Yes, we have the Levoit Core 300 or AeraMax 100 to look for some fancy and necessary features, but it seems Envion is not the company to offer such luxury things. Well, there is only one power button for the Envion Therapure TPP100, and nothing more.
Other than that, we only have two indicator lights for different speeds of cleaning, which is Low and High.
Envion Therapure TPP100 Customer Service
Envion is a subsidiary of the Swiss brand Boneco, a big air purifier brand with exceptional customer service. You can call the support for any Envion products toll free at 800-875-8577. This is the quickest way to reach the customer service, but if you prefer email, their contact is firstname.lastname@example.org.
You will only enjoy the warranty for the first year since purchase date, and you need to pay for any shipping and processing fee that occur. 1-year warranty is not as good as many other big brands (even Boneco own products have better warranty policy), but it is still better than nothing, right?
I don’t have much to say about the Envion Therapure TPP100. It is affordable, and its performance is quite reasonable for the money you’ve spent on. However, its performance is low, and its overall ranking is D+, so we can’t recommend this air purifier.
A budget device, but if only you can accept the “low budget” performance.
