- Still no True HEPA filter
- No Smart Sensor

Envion was one of the best air purifier brands in North America market, but they are now acquired by Boneco, and we maybe won’t find any new models for this air purifier brand in the future. The Envion Therapure EA150 is one of the newest model from this company, to provide an equivalent solution to the Levoit LV-H132. Well, it’s time for the Envion Therapure EA150 Review.
Other Envion’s Air Purifier Reviews:
Envion Therapure EA150 Price
The Envion Therapure EA150 is the Envion’s latest foray into the world of compact air purifiers, with True HEPA filter from the top sold Levoit LV-H132 and improved fan power. If Envion acted quicker, perhaps we have one native air purifier brand to be popular again.
On paper, the Envion Therapure EA150 makes an enticing proposition. It’s one of the first wave of devices built with True HEPA filter, and for that, I consider it out of the Therapure family, just like the Envion Allergy Pro AP200 and Envion Four Seasons FS200.
This Envion Therapure EA150 is available on Boneco shop, because Envion is now acquired by the popular Swiss brand Boneco, at only $89. So to say, it is a bit more expensive than the previous Envion Therapure TPP50 and Therapure TPP100. It also costs you as much as an Envion Ionic Pro CA200, but thanks to our below deal, you can get a much cheaper Envion Therapure EA150.
Look at its design, I can think of the Pure Enrichment PureZone Halo as the closest competitor. However, you can also buy Okaysou AirMic4S, Elechomes EPI081 and Bissell MyAir. If you want to compare with the old air purifier devices from an U.S company, I recommend to look for Holmes HAP424-NU, Honeywell HFD-010 or PureGuardian AP2800CA.

Envion Therapure EA150 Design and Size
Like I’ve mentioned earlier, the design of this Envion Therapure EA150 is extremely similar to the Pure Enrichment PureZone Halo. However, because the Envion Therapure EA150 was released earlier, we can count it as the original design concept.
It has a spherical design, but unlike the PureZone Halo, its base is firmer with 4 legs, and its overall balance is better. One of the biggest surprises when you first pick up the Envion Therapure EA150 is how small it is – I’m talking (almost) Halo size. Remember that the height of this air purifier is only 10.5 inches, and the depth is 6.75 inches. You can think the Therapure EA150 to be a little chubby, but in fact it is really compact.
Despite this compact size, the Envion Therapure EA150 has everything in right order. It doesn’t boast about its large air outlet grill like the PureZone Halo, but it tends to show off the number of air intake grill. It is reasonable for the Envion Therapure EA150, because it has a better fan power than the competitor.
Envion Therapure EA150 runs a simple bottom-to-top air flow system concept. It has a convenient lock to help you open the front plate for filter replacement.
On top of this air purifier, there is only two buttons to control the device. It is quite simple, and I like any simple and ease control panel.
Well, the innovative design of this Envion Therapure EA150 makes it compact, as it weighs only 9 lbs.

Envion Therapure EA150 Filters
Envion Therapure EA150 is designed to be the most suitable competitor to the Levoit LV-H132, and actually the company uses the same air filter LV-H132-RF to power their air purifier. So to say, you will see a simple 3-in-1 air cleaning system in this Envion Therapure EA150.
- Pre-filter – First is a fine preliminary filter, which can help remove the hair, fur and large dust in the air.
- True HEPA filter – A True HEPA Filter can reduce 99.97% of down to 0.3 microns dust mites allergens, virus particles, pollen, bacteria particles.
- Activated Carbon Filter – This Activated Carbon filter is great at eliminating odors and smokes.
Well, I guess you are all familiar with the performance of the well-known LV-H132, so I will jump right into the performance test for the Envion Therapure EA150. In the same room of 100 square feet, I let this Envion Therapure EA150 run in 1 hour. Also, I make a chart to help you compare it with other air purifiers in the same price range, like the Levoit Vista 200, hOmeLabs, Vornado QUBE50 and GermGuardian AC4825. As you can see, the Envion Therapure EA450 only captured 99.5% of all particles down to 0.3 microns in size, so it lost other devices in the same test.
Well, the Envion Therapure EA150 uses the same air filter as the LV-H132, so it is quite easy to find the filter replacement. However, you should check the filter from Boneco’s official store, and it costs just $19 for 6 months of use.

The CADR of Envion Therapure EA150 is 47 cfm in general.

Envion Therapure EA150 Sound
Well, it seems Envion Therapure EA150 can fix the remaining noise problem of Therapure series. With a compact size, it can reduce the noise level to be only 36 decibels (db) on lowest speed, which is near the whisper’s noise level.
On highest speed, the Envion Therapure EA150 is measured to be only 52 decibels. It is quite high for an air purifier with such low fan power, but it is still okay to use.

Envion Therapure EA150 Power Consumption
One of our most FAQs is “Do air purifiers use a lot of energy?” because we need to run an air purifier for a constant long time, and power consumption is really a thing to consider.
Envion Therapure EA150 only uses 40 watts as the power consumption, and this air purifier isn’t rated as Energy Star, just like its other brothers.
Running an Envion Therapure EA150 for 8 hours per day, and you need to pay $14 each year.

Envion Therapure EA150 Additional Features
It is sad that for this section, the Envion Therapure EA150 can’t compete against the Levoit LV-H132. There is nothing you can find on Therapure EA150’s control panel, so don’t expect anything from this air purifier.
Also, you can’t find any additional features for the low-end Therapure air purifiers. If you want at least some features for so less money, you should look for the Levoit Vista 200 or Airthereal ADH80.
Envion Therapure EA150 Customer Service
Envion is a subsidiary of the Swiss brand Boneco, a big air purifier brand with exceptional customer service. You can call the support for any Envion products toll free at 800-875-8577. This is the quickest way to reach the customer service, but if you prefer email, their contact is email@example.com.
You will only enjoy the warranty for the first year since purchase date, and you need to pay for any shipping and processing fee that occur. 1-year warranty is not as good as many other big brands (even Boneco own products have better warranty policy), but it is still better than nothing, right?
So does the Envion Therapure EA150 bring new sparkle to the Envion Therapure family? It has a good True HEPA filter, decent fan power and innovative design to join the competition. However, other specifications of the Envion Therapure EA150 is behind the top competitors, and for that, it isn’t recommended.
A good direction for the Envion air purifiers, but it is too late.
