However, the Activated Carbon filter of Airpura F600 has 17% potassium permanganate, the highest quality material to deal with the formaldehyde. You will still be happy because the 18-lb carbon filter can last as long as the 26-lbs carbon filter, up to 2 years.

Such high performance can’t be achieved by the Airpura F600 DLX. With more space for the 26-lbs Activated Carbon filter, the Airpura F600 DLX can only store a normal HEPA filter, which is exactly the HEPA-Barrier from the Airpura T600 and Airpura C600. Therefore, it can only deal with 95% of any particles down to 1 micron.

I am excited to test the performance of the first True HEPA air purifier from this company right away. Thanks to some necessary sponsorship, we can use the Austin Air Allergy Machine (with a 60-sq-ft True HEPA filter), IQAir HealthPro Plus and Oransi EJ120 to compare with this air purifier. All of them were running in a room of 500 square feet, in one hour. As the result, they all scored from 99.9% to 99.99% as the efficiency of trapping any particles as small as 0.3 microns – the absolute score for the performance of one air purifier.

Airpura F600 Additional Features

Both the Airpura and Austin Air families are saying no to any kinds of additional features. It seems that the high-end air purifiers are mostly for air purification, not for some flashy features to show off. You shouldn’t be surprise if your Airpura F600 doesn’t have any additional features, just like the Blueair Pro L and Oransi EJ120.

There won’t be even the filter replacement indicator or the Timer. There is only one manual switch to change the fan speed of this machine.
