Honeywell has started its whole-home air cleaners, to give a great alternative for the market lacks of contenders. Today, we will discuss the Honeywell F200 Review, the first whole-home air cleaner series from Honeywell.

Honeywell F200 Price
The Honeywell is traditionally an air purifier with high fan power. With the Honeywell F100 as the first step in bringing Honeywell out of this concept and into the world of whole-home air cleaners, we could hope that more and more whole-house air purifiers will be available to buy.
The Honeywell F200 is ready to go further by bringing the MERV-13 air filter into real-world use.
It costs more than the Honeywell F100, obviously, but Honeywell doesn’t announce the price officially. According to some well-known retailers, I believe the price is at least $189.

Honeywell F200 Design and Size
The Honeywell F200 is a collection of whole-home air cleaners for multiple sizes. You can check the table below for a full comparison.

Our unit today is a Honeywell F200F2010, the next-generation model of our previous Honeywell F100. This air cleaner is also similar to the Aprilaire 2210 of the Aprilaire 2000 series.
For the dimensions, it is a bit bigger than the previous model, with 20 inches in height and 25 inches in depth. It is also heavier, with a total weight of 40 lbs.
The whole-home air cleaner Honeywell F200 is made of steel with an efficient door design. With an improved gasket, the air cleaner can reduce air loss through the door by up to 37%. Also, you can simply open the door to replace the filter.
On the front, you will find a TrueHOME customizable label, which includes your contact information so you can know who to call for service or replacement parts.

Honeywell F200 Filters
Again, we will have only one air filter in this Honeywell F200 whole house air cleaner.
- HEPA filter – Just like other HVAC systems’ filters, the Honeywell F200 will use the MERV-13 air filter, which can capture up to 97% more airborne particles compared to a standard one-inch filter.
The Honeywell F200 will use a MERV-13 air filter, which traps ultra-fine particles better than the original MERV-11 filter. You can look at the comparison table below.

The deep-pleated media filter has a large surface area to capture more airborne particles. It also lasts longer, and you only need to replace the filter every 6–12 months.
Our current unit is a Honeywell F200F2010, with the filter named FC200E1037. You need to check the filter carefully by asking your professional dealer.

Honeywell F200 Room Coverage
All whole-home air cleaners, including the Honeywell F200, are able to work with the whole-home HVAC system and can clean rooms up to 2,000 square feet easily.
The Honeywell F200 is not a common air purifier with fan power, so we can’t measure its ACH and CADR rating.

Honeywell F200 Sound
Without fan power, the Honeywell F200 won’t produce any noise. And actually, the Honeywell F200 will work in unison with your existing heating, ventilating, and cooling system (HVAC) to filter all contaminants in your air, so there is no way you can see it in your living areas.
So to say, this isn’t even a selling point of the Honeywell F200, and you should bypass this section at all.

Honeywell F200 Power Consumption
One of our most FAQs is “Do air purifiers use a lot of energy?” In fact, we need to run an air purifier for a long time to be efficient. And power consumption is one important criterion to review to determine if this air purifier is a must-buy or not.
However, the Honeywell F200 is just a cabinet with one air filter. It doesn’t need electricity, and you don’t need to check its power consumption.

Honeywell F200 Additional Features
The latest Honeywell F200 models include a Wireless Airwatch Indicator to help you know when to change the air filter.This feature is the most basic one in any air purifier, but the Honeywell F200 is the only whole-home air cleaner to have it.
Other than that, it is still a cabinet without any special features.

Honeywell is a market leader in air purifiers, but its customer service is not as friendly as that of competitors. You can reach customer service via the mailbox at the Honeywell Store at 407 N. Quentin Road, Palatine, Illinois. But I suggest you call 847-701-3038 for any support questions. Or you can email sales@honeywellstore.com for any problems you experience while on the site or after buying a product. Honeywell is available from Monday to Friday.
It doesn’t have free shipping like Rabbit Air or Alen, and you must notify customer service within one business day of any problems with a third-party shipping service like USPS or FedEx. Otherwise, it will not accept liability for any merchandise damage during transit. Also, the shipment can take up to 10 business days from the date that the order is shipped.
The hardest part is when you want to return one Honeywell air purifier, as you only have 30 days from the date you receive your item to process your return. If there is no transit damage or workmanship defects, you won’t receive the shipping charge (on both the original shipping charge and the return shipping charge) and will have to pay a 10–30% re-stocking fee.
Honeywell’s warranty policy is also among the longest in the industry, with up to 5 years of coverage.

Our verdict
The counterpart to the Aprilaire 2000 Series is here, but the Honeywell F200 is a bit more expensive. Thankfully, it has a filter replacement indicator as well as the ability to upgrade to the Honeywell F300, which is truly precious.
