Honeywell F100 Price
For a device that’s supposed to be the poster child of the new Honeywell whole-home air cleaning systems, we hoped for a lot more. That’s how Honeywell learns from Aprilaire and builds all air cleaners the same size. As a result, you can always upgrade the Honeywell F100 to the Honeywell F200 or the Honeywell F300.
If you’re a Honeywell stalwart, then you might find some joy here, but otherwise, the Honeywell F100 is unlikely to convert many of the Aprilaire brigade due to its cheaper price.
The price tag of this Honeywell F100 is not available online because you need to contact a professional dealer to check the size of your HVAC system. It is said to be $50 more expensive than any Aprilaire 1000 Series air purifier at some well-known retailers. You can sometimes find the Honeywell F100 for $157.

Our current unit is a Honeywell F100F2010, which is similar to the Aprilaire 1210 of the Aprilaire 1000 series. The full cabinet is a bit smaller than the Aprilaire equivalent, measuring only 18 inches in height and 26 inches in depth.
The whole-home air cleaner Honeywell F100 is made of steel with an efficient door design. With an improved gasket, the air cleaner can reduce air loss through the door by up to 37%. Also, you can simply open the door to replace the filter.
On the front, you will find a TrueHOME customizable label, which includes your contact information so you can know who to call for service or replacement parts.

Honeywell F100 Filters
Being a whole-home air cleaning system, the Honeywell F100 has a very simple filtration system, as shown below.
- HEPA filter – Just like other HVAC systems’ filters, the Honeywell F100 will use the MERV-11 air filter, which can capture up to 85% more airborne particles compared to a standard one-inch filter.
Using only the MERV-11 air filter, the Honeywell F100 has a very small chance of capturing ultra-fine particles down to 0.03 microns. You can see the comparison table below.

The deep-pleated media filter has a large surface area to capture more airborne particles. It also lasts longer, and you only need to replace the filter every 6–12 months.
Our current unit is a Honeywell F100F2010, with the filter named FC100A1037. Make sure to get the right filter.

Honeywell F100 Room Coverage
All whole-home air cleaners, including the Honeywell F100, are able to work with the whole-home HVAC system and can clean rooms up to 2,000 square feet easily.
The Honeywell F100 is not a common air purifier with fan power, so we can’t measure its ACH and CADR rating.

Honeywell F100 Sound
Without fan power, the Honeywell F100 won’t produce any noise. And actually, the Honeywell F100 will work in unison with your existing heating, ventilating, and cooling system (HVAC) to filter all contaminants in your air, so there is no way you can see it in your living areas.
So to say, this isn’t even a selling point of the Honeywell F100, and you should bypass this section at all.

Honeywell F100 Power Consumption
One of our most FAQs is “Do air purifiers use a lot of energy?” In fact, we need to run an air purifier for a long time to be efficient. And power consumption is one important criterion to review to determine if this air purifier is a must-buy or not.
However, the Honeywell F100 is just a cabinet with one air filter. It doesn’t need electricity, and you don’t need to check its power consumption.

Honeywell is a market leader in air purifiers, but its customer service is not as friendly as that of competitors. You can reach customer service via the mailbox at the Honeywell Store at 407 N. Quentin Road, Palatine, Illinois. But I suggest you call 847-701-3038 for any support questions. Or you can email sales@honeywellstore.com for any problems you experience while on the site or after buying a product. Honeywell is available from Monday to Friday.
It doesn’t have free shipping like Rabbit Air or Alen, and you must notify customer service within one business day of any problems with a third-party shipping service like USPS or FedEx. Otherwise, it will not accept liability for any merchandise damage during transit. Also, the shipment can take up to 10 business days from the date that the order is shipped.
The hardest part is when you want to return one Honeywell air purifier, as you only have 30 days from the date you receive your item to process your return. If there is no transit damage or workmanship defects, you won’t receive the shipping charge (on both the original shipping charge and the return shipping charge) and will have to pay a 10–30% re-stocking fee.
Honeywell’s warranty policy is also among the longest in the industry, with up to 5 years of coverage.

Our verdict
Honeywell F100 is the equivalent to Aprilaire 1000 Series whole-home air cleaners. However, it is quite pricier, but you can upgrade to the Honeywell F300 at any time, so you should consider it carefully.
