The Airfree FIT800 doesn’t follow the mainstream and popular design of a bulky console air purifier. It takes the shape of a tall egg and I doubt if anyone would like the concept, but the company has discontinued the product completely on their website. You can only find review about this device in a few websites, and Breathe Quality is proud to be the least. Welcome to the Airfree FIT800 Review.
Update: As the Airfree FIT800 appears to be fully sold out, I recommend properly checking our deal before reading this review, as the review itself is pretty lengthy.
In Breathe Quality, we have reviewed all air purifiers under these sections. Also, we guarantee that:
- We do give honest reviews (both pros and cons) so anyone will guarantee to have the wisest choices.
- We do not (and never) exaggerate one product just to let you click the links and buy that product blindly.

Though not listed as one of our popular air purifier brands, the Airfree is a big brand specializing of only air purifiers. Their devices are also the most special and unique ones in the world of many air purifiers, thanks to the exclusive patented thermodynamic TSS technology. The Airfree FIT800, however, is not as popular as its brothers, but it is the only wall-mountable machine you can get. Now, back to the Airfree FIT800 Review.
Airfree FIT800 Price
As the only wall-mountable device of the family, Airfree FIT800 doesn’t get the true attention as it should. There are plenty of fans for that design, because not everyone could afford some spaces to put a huge, bulky air purifier. Can be mounted on wall is pretty much a selling point, as featured in the popular high-end Rabbit Air MinusA2.
But don’t let the strange outside appearance fool you, the Airfree FIT800 has the same performance as its brother – the Airfree T800, despite of the minimalism in size.
However, it seems that being mountable can charge us some money, because the Airfree FIT800 has a bit pricier tag, to be $169. Though it is only $10 higher than the ground-standing device, the fact that Airfree T800 receives better discount makes our today Airfree FIT800 easily unpopular. It is also removed completely from Airfree website.
To be honest, you can buy one of the trio Winix C535, Winix 5300-2 or Winix 5500-2 with that sum of money instead. For an air purifier with only small room coverage, is it too greedy to set the price too high.

Airfree FIT800 Design and Size
Airfree hasn’t tried too hard to convince us this is anything but a budget air purifier through its build. The Airfree FIT800 has an all-plastic body and, apart from a textured end-cap, it’s super-shiny. Out of the box this heavy dose of plastic is clearly evident, but it’s only going to get worse with use on the wall, when the dust gathers up to cling on the air purifier.
It is still unique design, though, as we hardly find the similar concept on any other air purifiers in the market. Normally in this price range, we will have a tower air purifier like Coway AP-1216L or Honeywell AirGenius 4, but the egg-shaped air purifier like this one is quite uncommon.
The Airfree FIT800 looks a bit smaller than the previous Airfree T800, but the height is nearly the same with 12 inches. It is more chunky for the body, as the width extends to 6 inches instead. Later, both the Airfree Tulip and Airfree BabyAir resemble the design of this Airfree FIT800 the most.
Our today air purifier still sports the same bottom-to-top air flow system concept like common devices, though it doesn’t have fan to pull the air in. You can see the blue light emission on the top air outlet, making the Airfree FIT800 a night lamp in your bedroom.

Besides being wall-mountable, the Airfree FIT800 weighs only 1.5 lbs, and it can be fitted to the wall of any room, no matter the decoration. The cord length is about 6 feet, which is enough to mount the device any where in your room.

Airfree FIT800 Filters
Again, we are looking at the most unique and special air filtration technology in the world. Like any other devices of the family, the Airfree FIT800 purify the air with this exclusive power.
- Exclusive Patented Thermodynamic TSS Technology – This technology has been independently tested in real-world conditions by ISO 17025 laboratories. The Airfree FIT800 destroys the microorganisms and allergens by heating it to over 400°F (200°C) and instantly sterilizing it.
The process of eliminating microorganisms is similar to boiling the water, Airfree FIT800 will continually draw in the air to proceed the heating, to the point that no common germs or viruses could be alive. Then it will cool the air and release to the room. The heating process occurs only inside the device, thus makes the air purifier warm, not hot.
We should know that the heating process is not like any ionizer or UV light filtration, it won’t release any ozone and as a result, won’t trigger asthma or any breathing issues for your respiratory system.
We are unable to make a same test for the Airfree air purifiers just like others, because it doesn’t capture the particulate matters as usual. Actually, it’s hard to spot the difference in air quality, unless you have allergies or asthma symptoms caused by organic allergens or mold spores.
The Airfree FIT800 is capable of dealing with not only the mold spores, it can eliminate the bacteria and viruses as well, no matter the size of the particles. It can destroy the harmful toxins and fungus freed into the air by dust mite feces and skeletons. In addition, any kind of organic smell in the tobacco smell will also be reduced.
Without the installation of air filter, you will no longer need to remember the date of filter replacement, or worry about the air filter cost anymore.

Airfree FIT800 Room Coverage
The Airfree FIT800 is meant for small rooms, and we should use it in a room of 180 square feet, based on the suggestion of the manufacturer.

Basically, the Airfree FIT800 is not a regular air purifier. It doesn’t use the fan as a mean to pull in the air, while the CADR rating indicates volume of filtered air delivered by an air cleaner, which is not designed for Airfree air purifiers. Also, the device needs to run gradually for uninterrupted cycle of air, so there is no ACH rating, either.

Airfree FIT800 Sound
Just like all air purifiers in the Airfree family, the Airfree FIT800 is completely silent. You won’t notice or hear any sound from this air purifier. In fact, you don’t even know if the air purifier is working or not.
Because of the total quiet operation, you can use the Airfree FIT800 anywhere, no matter it’s your bedroom or in the public places like the office.

Airfree FIT800 Power Consumption
An air purifier is designed to run for a long time to be more efficient, making the high-priority question in Breathe Quality is: “Do air purifiers use a lot of energy?” To know the answer, we will need to check the power consumption of this air purifier.
The Airfree FIT800 must run gradually 24 hours a day to reach the highest efficiency. Moreover, the patented technology of Airfree can’t have its cycle interrupted. It has higher power consumption than the previous Airfree T800, to be 42 watts. It is still reasonable, though.
If you run the Airfree FIT800 for at least 8 hours each day, you need to pay $15 each year.

Airfree FIT800 Additional Features
Sadly, the Airfree FIT800 is an air purifier of minimalism. There is no even the power button in this air purifier, so you shouldn’t expect any additional features.
In fact, learning from all the Airfree air purifiers I’ve experimented, Airfree doesn’t want to pack any fancy features in their devices. So if you like an alternative with some cool features, you must look for the Levoit LV-PUR131S, GermGuardian CDAP5500BCA or Blueair Sense, as they are packing with high-end smart features with nearly the same price as our Airfree FIT800.

Airfree FIT800 Customer Service
Though the Airfree’s origin isn’t American, you can find their products in many of the most trusted retailers like Amazon, Sylvane or Walmart. They provide full support via email from their Contact Us page, or via phone at 626-921-4426.
The Airfree air purifiers are also backed up with a 2-year warranty policy. Though this is not the best warranty policy in the air purifier industry, it is enough for you to rely on the devices.
Airfree FIT800 filterless air purifier, small, White.
The only wall-mountable air purifier of the special Airfree family, with no maintenance cost for being filterless. Completely silent and 100% ozone-free.
Our verdict
The Airfree FIT800 is a special wall-mountable device, but it is not as popular as others in the family, due to the high price for actual value. Also, it is discontinued, for obvious reasons.
