The Airfree T800 is the youngest child of a strange air purifier family – the Airfree group. Have you heard about the filterless technology already? Mostly we will find this term in any ionizer, which doesn’t need a physical filter to trap the contaminants. The Airfree air purifiers, however, use an exclusive filtration technology. Let’s find out in our today Airfree T800 Review.
Update: The Airfree T800 is only for small rooms. If you happen to have a medium to large room, you should consider the Airfree Lotus or Airfree Iris 3000 instead.
In Breathe Quality, we have reviewed all air purifiers under these sections. Also, we guarantee that:
- We do give honest reviews (both pros and cons) so anyone will guarantee to have the wisest choices.
- We do not (and never) exaggerate one product just to let you click the links and buy that product blindly.
- Totally filterless, no maintenance cost
- Completely silent
- Portable size to use
- Only for small-size rooms
- Can’t capture the actual particulate matters
Airfree is a Portuguese business about air purifiers since 2004, but unlike the others, this company chooses to develop the exclusive yet simple devices on the basis of a naturally way of using heat to destroy airborne allergens. The Airfree T800 is the tiny little device, along with its brother – Airfree FIT800, to help any small mold contaminated areas. Now, we can continue with this Airfree T800 Review.

Airfree T800 Price
The Airfree T800 is one of the T Portable Series of Airfree, together with the Airfree FIT800. It may be arriving right at the tail end of 2019, despite launching elsewhere several years ago, but we have a lot of time for the device and its aims.
This air purifier is advertised to get the complete Airfree efficiency with lower cost. You should first know about the Airfree technology – a total filterless process eliminating the microorganisms by boiling it and instantly sterilizing it.
In some countries outside of the U.S (for example in the UK), if you can’t find the Airfree T800 model, you can look for the Airfree T40 for a same experience. However, the Airfree T800 is still the newer model, thus better.
And yes, the Airfree T800 is really lower cost than others in Airfree family, most notably the popular Airfree P1000 or Airfree Onix 3000, with the official price tag of only $159. It’s even cheaper, in fact. Airfree has discounted the price to only $99, for a limited time of course, but you can easily grab the deal below in our website.
$99 is really the lowest range of an air purifier, especially when the air purifier has an exclusive filtration technology like Airfree T800. There are many other compact air purifiers at that cost, however, like the Levoit Core 300 and AeraMax 100. Or if you want to deal with the mold spores like the Airfree T800, you should consider the GermGuardian AC4825 or Pure Enrichment PureZone, thanks to their advanced UV-C light filter.

Airfree T800 Design and Size
If you are familiar with the style concept of air purifier, then the Airfree devices will completely change it. It doesn’t have the filters, so we can say goodbye to the concept of big fan power. Of course, the Airfree T800 still pulls in the air from the bottom, and releases the fresh air from the top grill.
It has four legs, to make space for the indoor air to come in. So the Airfree T800 is special, even among its own kind, thanks to these legs. Thankfully, this unique design doesn’t let us down, because the build quality of this plastic air purifier is pretty good for the price. The majority of the chassis is made from white plastic, but you can’t see any similarities with the closest brother of this device – Airfree FIT800 at all.
Looks-wise it’s not quite as flash as its brothers, mainly because of the personal taste to have a more compact air purifier, and the height of 12 inches is quite distinctive. However, the Airfree T800 is significantly cheaper and still looks reasonably stylish. For the width, this air purifier is only 5.1 inches, which is slightly thinner than the FIT800.
You may wonder how to use it, as you can’t see any control panel on the Airfree T800. Yes, that’s the magic of Airfree air purifiers, you only need to plug them in and let they do the job.
Airfree T800 is really lightweight, and you can use it as a personal air purifier. The weight is only 1.5 lbs, and you can carry it anywhere easily.

Airfree T800 Filters
The air cleaning system of Airfree is unique and exclusive in the world of air purifiers. Yes, there is no filter in this Airfree T800 and its brothers. It does purify the air with the special Airfree technology.
- Exclusive Patented Thermodynamic TSS Technology – This technology has been independently tested in real-world conditions by ISO 17025 laboratories. The Airfree T800 destroys the microorganisms and allergens by heating it to over 400°F (200°C) and instantly sterilizing it.
The process of eliminating microorganisms is similar to boiling the water, Airfree T800 will continually draw in the air to proceed the heating, to the point that no common germs or viruses could be alive. Then it will cool the air and release to the room. Your Airfree T800 is just like a the heating resource of a 155-lb adult, and therefore can’t heat up the room much.
We should know that the heating process is not like any ionizer or UV light filtration, it won’t release any ozone and as a result, won’t trigger asthma or any breathing issues for your respiratory system.
However, all Airfree air purifiers are unable to actually capture the particulate matters, so I can’t make a normal test to show you the efficiency of the Airfree T800, or any Airfree air purifiers at all. However, if you have allergies or asthma symptoms caused by organic allergens or mold spores, you will notice a significant difference in the air quality.
The Airfree T800 is capable of dealing with not only the mold spores, it can eliminate the bacteria and viruses as well, no matter the size of the particles. It can destroy the harmful toxins and fungus freed into the air by dust mite feces and skeletons. In addition, any kind of organic smell in the tobacco smell will also be reduced.
Without the installation of air filter, you will no longer need to remember the date of filter replacement, or worry about the air filter cost anymore.

Airfree T800 Room Coverage
The Airfree T800 is meant for small rooms, and we should use it in a room of 180 square feet, based on the suggestion of the manufacturer.
Basically, the Airfree T800 is not a regular air purifier. It doesn’t use the fan as a mean to pull in the air, while the CADR rating indicates volume of filtered air delivered by an air cleaner, which is not designed for Airfree air purifiers. Also, the device needs to run gradually for uninterrupted cycle of air, so there is no ACH rating, either.

Airfree T800 Sound
Just like all air purifiers in the Airfree family, the Airfree T800 is completely silent. You won’t notice or hear any sound from this air purifier. In fact, you don’t even know if the air purifier is working or not, unless you check the top lid. If the top lid is warm, you will know your air purifier is running.
Because of the total quiet operation, you can use the Airfree T800 anywhere, no matter it’s your bedroom or in the public places like the office.

Airfree T800 Power Consumption
An air purifier is designed to run for a long time to be more efficient, making the high-priority question in Breathe Quality is: “Do air purifiers use a lot of energy?” To know the answer, we will need to check the power consumption of this air purifier.
The Airfree T800 must run gradually 24 hours a day to reach the highest efficiency. Moreover, the patented technology of Airfree can’t have its cycle interrupted. Fortunately, the power consumption of this device is really, really low, to be only 33 watts in general.
If you run the Airfree T800 for at least 8 hours each day, you need to pay only $12 each year.

Airfree T800 Additional Features
Sadly, the Airfree T800 is an air purifier of minimalism. There is no even the power button in this air purifier, so you shouldn’t expect any additional features.
In fact, learning from all the Airfree air purifiers I’ve experimented, Airfree doesn’t want to pack any fancy features in their devices. So if you like an alternative with some cool features, you must look for the Levoit Vista 200 or SilverOnyx instead.
Airfree T800 Customer Service
Though the Airfree’s origin isn’t American, you can find their products in many of the most trusted retailers like Amazon, Sylvane or Walmart. They provide full support via email from their Contact Us page, or via phone at 626-921-4426.
The Airfree air purifiers are also backed up with a 2-year warranty policy. Though this is not the best warranty policy in the air purifier industry, it is enough for you to rely on the devices.
The Airfree T800 is an interesting compact air purifier for under $100. If you don’t like the usual expensive filter replacement cost, or you are annoyed too much by the sound of your air purifiers, then the Airfree T800 is a good solution for you.
