Other Bionaire’s Air Purifier Reviews:
Bionaire BAP360 Price
Bionaire has shifted toward making modern air purifiers with 360° air intake and cylindrical designs, leaving the Bionaire BAP9417 AER1 as a classic model. The Bionaire BAP360 and Bionaire BAP360XL are more expensive options designed for medium to large rooms, while maintaining competitive prices by forgoing smart features.
Unlike the Bionaire BAP9260 and Bionaire BAP9921 that are cheaper, the Bionaire BAP360 opts for a more practical modern design. It is certainly plain and boring to buy, but for people who know and love the Bionaire brand, it’s a good reason to pick one.
So, at $109, the Bionaire BAP360 is a little bit higher than the competition, which you can choose from the GermGuardian AC3000, Levoit Core 300 and Honeywell HPA125. As the new product in Bionaire, the company only offers 1-year limited warranty for this product, making the Bionaire BAP360 less appealing than classic models like the BAP9417.

Bionaire BAP360 Design and Size
As a budget product, the Bionaire BAP360 doesn’t need any design innovations. It has the usual cylindrical design with 360° air intake, hence the BAP360 name. It won’t win any design awards, but it gets the job done with a typical bottom-to-top airflow system concept.
The Bionaire BAP360 is super compact at only 12.5 inches in height, and 9 inches diameter. At 6.2 lbs, you can easily bring the air purifier anywhere in your house.
We have one top simple control panel for the Bionaire BAP360. Seriously, that’s all for the design section of this air purifier.

Bionaire BAP360 Filters
To decide the performance of one air purifier, you will need to know about the quantity and quality of its air filters, as well as the air filter types are used. The Bionaire BAP360 features the new 4-stage air cleaning system as below.
- Pre-filter – A mesh pre-filter captures larger particles like hair, fur, lint, and fibers first, to help extend the effectiveness and longevity of the rest of the filter.
- True HEPA filter – Removes up to 99.97% of airborne pollutants like dust, hair, pollen and more.
- Activated Carbon filter – Helps capture and reduce household odors caused by pets, cooking, smoke, and more.
- Ionizer – Emits negative ions bind with airborne smoke, dust and pollen to form larger particles that are more easily captured, which complies the standard safety of CARB completely.
We have the same performance test for the Bionaire BAP360, just like its predecessors like the Bionaire BAP1700-U and Bionaire BAP600-U. All of Bionaire air purifiers have lower results than the Amazon Basics AC2224A at a much cheaper price.

We will have a new filter for the Bionaire BAP360, which is also used in the Bionaire BAP360XL. Bionaire recommends to change the air filter after 1 year, and the cost is decent at only $40.

Bionaire BAP360 Room Coverage
The Bionaire BAP360 is verified by the Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers (AHAM) to work best in 131 square feet. This is a bit different from what’s advertised on its product page, which lists a larger room coverage of 180 square feet.
The ACH of the Bionaire BAP360 is 5X. Any air purifier verified by the AHAM is doing its job 4.8 times per hour.
The CADR of the Bionaire BAP360 is 81 Dust/ 84 Smoke/ 71 Pollen (cfm). The performance per price of the Bionaire BAP360 is the worst among new Bionaire lineup.

Bionaire BAP360 Sound
Bionaire tries a lot to keep the Bionaire BAP360 as a true compact air purifier for bedroom, and its lowest speed has a noise level of only 35 decibels (dB). Certainly not the best, but it is an improvement for a device with ionizer function.
At its highest speed, we measured the noise level at 58 dB. You shouldn’t run the air purifier at this maximum speed while sleeping.

Bionaire BAP360 Power Consumption
One of our most FAQs is “Do air purifiers use a lot of energy?” In fact, air purifier must be used for a long time to be efficient. And power consumption is one important criteria to review how much energy this air purifier will consume.
The Bionaire BAP360 has a rated power of 30 watts, which is even better than the Bionaire BAP9417 AER1.
The cost you need to pay for running the Bionaire BAP360 annually, 8 hours per day is about $13.15.

Bionaire BAP360 Additional Features
Again, we have a Bionaire air purifier without additional features. The Bionaire BAP360 keeps the Nightlight feature, together with the LED indicator for filter replacement. That’s it, you won’t get the Smart Sensor, and even a simple Timer is non-existent.
Want the Smart Sensor? You should look for the Cuckoo CAC-I0510FW or Winix A230 instead.

Bionaire BAP360 Customer Service
The Bionaire is one major subsidiary under the name of The Holmes Group, but the customer service is not as good as the main brand. Now, the Bionaire is owned by Sunbeam Products Inc, which was itself acquired by Jarden Corporation.
So, for most parts, the way to contact customer service of Bionaire is similar to Holmes, either by filling in the information at their Contact page, or calling them via phone at 800-253-2764.
They have good delivery option, with standard shipping rate to be from $6 to $40, depending on the order amount. At the time of writing, they also provide a Free Shipping for any orders over $50. There is a return policy for the Bionaire air purifiers, just like Holmes air purifiers, as you can return your item within 30 days of receipt for an exchange or refund of the purchase price, for any reason.
Most importantly, all Bionaire air purifiers are warranted with 3-year warranty, which is the best offer for a low-range lineup. But it seems the company can’t keep this great warranty service, as new models only have 1-year limited warranty.

Our verdict
Bionaire is back with a series of good performers, and the Bionaire BAP360 is a good air purifier if you don’t mind the lack of features. Still, you should note that the air purifier currently comes with only a 1-year warranty, instead of the 3-year warranty offered by previous models.
