The Pure Enrichment PureZone Elite is a great air purifier from Pure Enrichment, of course, it is the flagship of this brand now. This is one air purifier that keeps pushing the brand forward in low-range market in terms of design and performance. If you love the Pure Enrichment PureZone for some reason, you should try the Amazon’s Choice air purifier immediately. Why? Read our Pure Enrichment PureZone Elite Review to have your answer.
In Breathe Quality, we have reviewed all air purifiers under these sections. Also, we guarantee that:
- We do give honest reviews (both pros and cons) so anyone will guarantee to have the wisest choices.
- We do not (and never) exaggerate one product just to let you click the links and buy that product blindly.
- Full air filter types for great performance
- Convenient tower design
- Accurate Smart Sensor
- Quite noisy on highest speed
- Low CADR rating
If Pure Enrichment still want to compete with the big things like Coway AP-1512HH, Honeywell HPA300 or Levoit LV-PUR131, they need one air purifier that has all the conditions to do that. The Pure Enrichment PureZone Elite is that candidate of the California company, a real tower air purifier that takes multiple elements from the top devices around, blended together to make a more prosaic (but still intriguing) device. Now, let’s get back to the Pure Enrichment PureZone Elite Review.
Other Pure Enrichment’s Air Purifier Reviews:
Pure Enrichment PureZone Elite Price
Pure Enrichment PureZone Elite is exactly like its name suggests, an improved version of the popular Pure Enrichment PureZone. It’s promising to add another layer of filtration, and complete the collection of air filter types just in one air purifier. Somehow, this Pure Enrichment PureZone Elite is just like the SilverOnyx.
The last line of defense in air filtration system that I want to mention is called ionizer, in a few words, it brings high performance to the PureZone Elite than the previous 3-in-1 model. Pure Enrichment also call it the 4-in-1 air purifier, to help us know which air purifier is better.
The Pure Enrichment PureZone Elite is out to solve my biggest complaint about low-budget air purifiers: similar appearance between models in one family. Still under low-range category, the PureZone Elite is a real tower air purifier, which is different than the previous PureZone, which is different than the next Pure Enrichment PureZone Halo. It is great, I must repeat, as we can’t just have one design concept repeating over and over again.
While being much more conservative design than its predecessor, we still can see the place where innovation is still present in the design language of this PureZone Elite. However I will tell you more in the design section. It’s interesting to know the price of the Pure Enrichment PureZone Elite first, and it is just $179 in the original website, which is $50 more expensive than the previous PureZone.
The number one competitor to this air purifier, of course, is the SilverOnyx. However, with the new add-on Smart Wi-Fi capability, the Levoit LV-PUR131 is also a great-to-mention air purifier. The list of competitors may go on forever, because this is the most aggressive market to play in.
Just like the previous model, I will give you the best deal for the Pure Enrichment PureZone Elite right below.

Pure Enrichment PureZone Elite Design and Size
People like the tower air purifier concept maybe for one reason, cause they can feel the fresh air coming toward them. The Pure Enrichment PureZone Elite has a good finishing, while still keeping a little bit of extra heft to accommodate more air filters inside.
Its dimensions are 25 (H) x 9 (W) x 7 (D) inches, which is a bit shorter than things like GermGuardian CDAP5500BCA or other high-end tower air purifier, but is still suitable to put it on ground. I was expecting something worse when it was first described to me. The size of this air purifier is really comfortable to use, especially when the control panel is on top.

Talking about the air grill, Pure Enrichment is really innovative to make a real large air outlet grill on front. Combining with the height of this PureZone Elite, the user will enjoy the fresh air completely. About the back, it is just a standard air intake grill and you can skip it without hoping any big surprise.
What’s most impressive is how the color works flawlessly in this PureZone Elite. It doesn’t feel cheap and and tacky at all, which you can’t feel the same in the previous PureZone. The perforated holes are distributed in a well-organized manner, with a little but beautiful LED indicator for the Smart Sensor at the bottom.
On top of this air purifier, we will have another simple control panel to use. You know, simplicity is always the best.
PureZone Elite weighs only 9.3 lbs, and with a very convenient handle on back, you can easily move this air purifier around your home.

Pure Enrichment PureZone Elite Filters
The high quality and air filter types are always the absolute metric when determining the performance of one air purifier, yet marketing types have been keen for years to have the world believe that the more air filters, the better. The Pure Enrichment PureZone Elite 4-in-1, not the same as its name implies, will clean your room with a 4-stage air cleaning system.
- Activated Carbon Filter – This Activated Carbon filter is the necessary filter to adsorb formaldehyde, benzene and other noxious gases, odors and smokes.
- True HEPA filter – A True HEPA Filter can reduce 99.97% of down to 0.3 microns all contaminant particles like dust, dust mites, pollen, pet dander or even mold spores.
- UV-C Light – With an UV-C light bulb, this air purifier can destroy micro-organisms such as germs, viruses, bacteria and fungi.
- Ionizer – Vital ionize destroys harmful airborne allergens. Can be switched on/off.
So you will have every 4 main air filter types in the air cleaner market just in one air purifier. The Pure Enrichment PureZone Elite makes use of the very powerful combination, to deliver the mighty performance. Sadly, the quality of its True HEPA filter is not as good as other big brands, and with the low fan speed, it takes a lot of time to solve the airborne allergy problems in your home.
The UV-C light is now attached with the photocatalyst filter, something is pretty familiar if you use the UV-C air purifiers of Guardian Technologies like GermGuardian AC5350B or GermGuardian AC5250PT. By using the UV rays with the inside Titanium oxide, the process will create hydroxyls to attack the pollutants, and turn it into harmless water molecules.
PureZone Elite has a built-in ionizer, to complete the air filtration system. The ion concentration is about more than 5 million/cm³, and is also certified by the California Air Resources Board (CARB). But if you have problem with asthma, you could turn the ionizer feature anytime you like.

I made a test for the PureZone Elite long time ago, to compare with the SilverOnyx. But this time, I brought both this PureZone Elite and SilverOnyx in another test to check their efficiency in a room of 150 square feet, and under 1 hour. The result, again, was similar as before, and the PureZone Elite was able to clean 99.8% all particles down to 0.3 microns (the same as the AeraMax 200), while the SilverOnyx can deal with 99.92%.
For the flagship of this brand, the PureZone Elite’s air filter cost must be more expensive than the old PureZone, but you only need to pay for $39 for up to 6 months. It is not the cheapest air filter, but it is still affordable in this price range. The lamp life, again, is effective for every 12 months or 9000 hours (whichever comes first).

Pure Enrichment PureZone Elite Room Coverage
Though being the flagship of a brand, the PureZone Elite is only capable to deal with a small room. This air purifier can only clean a room of 190 square feet, as suggested by manufacturer, and I believe the suggestion is totally true for an air purifier with weak fan power.
The ACH of PureZone Elite is 4X. This Pure Enrichment PureZone Elite is capable of cleaning your room every 15 minutes.
The CADR of PureZone Elite is 120 cfm in general. The CADR rating of this air purifier is nowhere near the level of the trio Winix 5300-2, Winix 5500-2 and Winix C535, which are also the most popular air purifiers in sub $200-ish.

Pure Enrichment PureZone Elite Sound
There is one advantage for having weak fan power in one air purifier, and this must be the silent operation. The Pure Enrichment PureZone Elite is truly quiet for the lowest setting, as it runs at only 30 decibels (db), such a noise level of the true whisper. If you mostly maintain the low fan speed, you won’t hear any sound from this air purifier.
However, it has a disappointing noise level of 60 decibels when running at the highest setting. This is really high, and you can think of the noise level in a public restaurant, and it is near the threshold of the “common noise”. So if you want to run this air purifier while sleeping or working in office, be sure to keep it as low as possible so it won’t disturb you.

Pure Enrichment PureZone Elite Power Consumption
One of our most FAQs is “Do air purifiers use a lot of energy?” In fact, air purifier must be used for a long time to be efficient. And power consumption is one important criteria to review how much energy this air purifier will consume.
The power consumption is not really an advantage of Pure Enrichment, but the more powerful flagship PureZone Elite only perform at 60 watts, which is the same as the previous PureZone. If you like a more energy-saving air purifier, you should look for the Levoit LV-PUR131 or AeraMax 300.
For running the Pure Enrichment PureZone Elite 4-in-1 8 hours per day, you need to pay for $22 per year, which is double the energy cost from SilverOnyx.

Pure Enrichment PureZone Elite Additional Features
This is not the basic air purifier anymore, the PureZone Elite is the flagship of Pure Enrichment, and it needs more to prove it is worthy the competitors of things like Coway AP-1512HH, Coway AP-1216L or Winix U300. So to say, you will have the necessary Smart Sensor in this air purifier. This air sensor can detect any changes in the indoor air quality, and adjust air flow to ensure the highest quality air.

Other than that, you still have the basic features like a basic Timer of 2, 4 and 8 hours, as well as the LED indicator for filter replacement.
Pure Enrichment PureZone Elite Customer Service
Though being a small air purifier company based in California, Pure Enrichment is still one of the best air purifier brands for their great and dedicated customer service. They truly care about improving the unique and high quality products, and they offer a Pure Power User program to allow you pick up and test their air purifiers 100% free. It is amazing, right?
However, this company only has one method of contact for you. You should contact them via email in their Contact page, and a member of their team will respond within two business days. If you have trouble and don’t satisfy with any air purifiers from this brand, you can easily require a refund within 60 days since the purchased day. You will get the money after up to 10 days, once your air purifier comes back to their warehouses.
Moreover, you don’t need to worry about the warranty. For any defective parts/products, your air purifier is backed up with a 5-year warranty of Pure Enrichment, and a replacement product will be sent out in a timely manner. This is one of the longest warranty duration for an air purifier brand, and that’s why people are in love with Pure Enrichment that much.
A good tower air purifier from Pure Enrichment, but is this flagship too good to use? Well, it has decent performance and solid build for the price, but the Pure Enrichment PureZone Elite is also noisy and power-consuming, which is really unacceptable in low-range segment.
- Cleaning Power
- Power Consumption
Truth be told, the PureZone Elite isn’t flawless, but it is worth to be the flagship of one good air purifier brand.
