Other Holmes’s Air Purifier Reviews:
Holmes HAP759-NU Price
The Holmes HAP759-NU is a real console air purifier, and generally with bigger size, you will need more materials to make the device and thus, the cost is higher.
This air purifier is also the complete replacement to the old Holmes HAP756-NU, which is also unavailable in any local warehouses of the United States. It is also more beautiful with the stylized square vents of air intake grill.
Now about the price of this Holmes HAP759-NU, it is $159, which is $50 more expensive than the smaller Holmes HAP726-NU. The price of this air purifier is also higher than even the Holmes HAP8650B-NU or Holmes HAP9726B-NU – the best sellers of this company.
Actually, the price of one air purifier with such strong fan power is quite reasonable, as the Honeywell HPA200 or Coway AP-1512HH costs you $50 more for the similar fan power. You can also search for the trio of Winix C535, Winix 5300-2 and Winix 5500-2 to have such strong fan power. But can the Holmes HAP759-NU really be able to compete with those beasts? We must do a further research to know the answer.

Holmes HAP759-NU Design and Size
Holmes HAP759-NU was, in fact, still is one good and desirable air purifier in the low-range market. The all-white casing may be not as attractive as the black one from the Holmes HAP8650B-NU or Holmes HAP9726B-NU, but it can highlight the plastic cover greater in the light.
The Holmes HAP759-NU makes use of the tiny square vents in the air intake, which both makes it much more attractive and reduces the size of the impurities into the air purifier. You can then easily clean the attached dust from the outside of the device.
This air purifier has a dual-positioning design, meaning you can conveniently place it anywhere in your home, even against a wall. The best practice is put the Holmes HAP759-NU at the middle of the room to utilize the double air intake of it.
With the height of 22 inches and the width of 21 inches, Holmes HAP759-NU is quite bulkier than the predecessors. You need to put it on the hard surface, so it can function properly. There is one digital display on top of this air purifier, and it is quite clear to use.
For the weight of this device, it is 19 lbs. Moving this air purifier around your home is not an easy task like moving the desktop air purifiers of Holmes.

Holmes HAP759-NU Filters
To decide the performance of one air purifier, you will need to know about the quantity and quality of its air filters, as well as the air filter types are used. The Holmes HAP759-NU has the similar 2-stage air cleaning system as the old devices.
- Activated Carbon Filter – This Activated Carbon filter has been treated with the baking soda, it can act as a pre-filter to trap larger particles and adsorb the odors that may come from pets, garbage, cooking, smoke, bathroom or litter boxes.
- True HEPA filter – A True HEPA Filter can reduce 99.97% of down to 0.3 microns all contaminant particles like dust, dust mites, pollen, pet dander or even mold spores.
The quality of the air filters is just the same as the Holmes HAP726-NU, only there is a difference in quantity. The Holmes HAP759-NU will have 3 sets of air filters, instead of just only 2 like the smaller brother. More air filters mean more filter media, and the air purifier will be able to deal with a much larger room.
Consider the performance of this Holmes HAP759-NU, I put it in a room of 150 square feet, where I also locked the VEVA 8000 Elite Pro and Honeywell 17000-S to see the actual performance of the Holmes air purifier. As you can see from the chart below, the Holmes HAP759-NU has the best performance with efficiency of 99.9% to trap any particles down to 0.3 microns. The VEVA 8000 Elite Pro was only 99.7%, and Honeywell 17000-S was 99.4%.
Like I said earlier, the Holmes HAP759-NU uses the same air filter as the HAP726-NU. You should replace the air filter after 6 months of use, for optimal performance.

The ACH of Holmes HAP759-NU is 4X. This air purifier can clean your room in every 15 minutes.
The CADR of Holmes HAP759-NU is 230 cfm in general. The CADR rating is nearly the same as the popular trio of Winix C535, Winix 5300-2 and Winix 5500-2, which is a great compliment for an air purifier in the same price range.

Holmes HAP759-NU Sound
Holmes HAP759-NU is even more powerful than the Holmes HAP8650B-NU and Holmes HAP9726B-NU, so it must be at least the same noise level as its brothers. And I must be honest, it is not going to be low.
With 3 fan speeds, if you use this air purifier at the highest setting, the noise level can reach 65 decibels (db). The noise level is below the threshold of ‘noise’, which is 70 decibels, but it is too high if compared with others in the same price range.

Holmes HAP759-NU Power Consumption
One of our most FAQs is “Do air purifiers use a lot of energy?” In fact, air purifier must be used for a long time to be efficient. And power consumption is one important criteria to review how much energy this air purifier will consume.
Holmes HAP759-NU has high power consumption of 125 watts, and I must confess, it is too much for an air purifier with just average fan power.
For running the Holmes HAP759-NU 8 hours per day, you need to pay $45 each year.

Holmes HAP759-NU Additional Features
All Holmes air purifiers are old to very old at the moment, and we can’t expect them to have any kind of additional features. There isn’t even the basic feature like Timer in this Holmes HAP759-NU, which is a downgrade from the cheaper Holmes HAP726-NU.
To use the Holmes HAP759-NU, all you get will be only the electric indicator for filter replacement. It is not the new thing in 2019 anymore, and we can safely conclude that the Holmes HAP759-NU has literally nothing to show.
Holmes HAP759-NU Customer Service
Even being acquired for more than 10 years, the Holmes products are still one of the most popular electric appliances today. Then the reason can only be their impressive customer service. If you need to contact them, you can easily do so by filling in the information at their Contact page, or calling them via phone at 800-546-5637.
Once you make an order, you will get your Holmes air purifier with a promotion of Free Shipping over $50. However, the promotion is only applied at the time of writing, so if you can’t find the Free Shipping option, you should choose to buy from Amazon. The most wonderful thing is, after your purchase, or any reason you are not completely satisfied with the Holmes air purifier, you can return your item within 30 days of receipt for an exchange or refund of the purchase price. Great, isn’t it?
And don’t worry about your air purifier, it will be backed up by a great 5-year warranty from The Holmes Group. This is also the best warranty for an air purifier brand that only targets low-range segment.
The Holmes HAP759-NU isn’t the best option to buy in 2019 anymore, because there are a lot of devices providing better features in the same price. Maybe it is the end for the era of The Holmes Group’s higher-range device, unless they choose to invent and make the new things to suit the customers’ tastes.
- Cleaning Power
- Power Consumption
An old device needs to rest, and the Holmes HAP759-NU is exactly one like that.
