LG PuriCare 360 Price

The LG PuriCare 360 puts 360-degree filtration first with a three-stage filter stack on a single cylindrical tower, and that gives you air intake from every direction, whether you’re covering a wide-open living room or a corner bedroom. That’s nothing new, but judging by its overall design, we almost expected the LG PuriCare 360 to come with a more affordable price tag.

And we were wrong, because the LG PuriCare 360 comes with a $299 price tag. LG does offer the LG PuriCare AeroHit as a more affordable alternative, but even then, you’re still paying a premium for an LG air purifier and its smart features.

At this price point, the LG PuriCare 360 competes against the Blue Pure 211i Max, Winix 9800, Coway Airmega 250S, and Levoit Core 600S. All of these come from reputable brands, offer comprehensive smart features, and deliver as strong airflow as the LG PuriCare 360. For many people, they would want a high performance ranking, and the Medify MA-50 and Honeywell HPA6000 are the go-to options.

It seems LG is losing ground in the air purifier market, much like it did with its smartphone business. So you should look for our deal, which reduces the price of the LG PuriCare 360 to only $269. It’s 10% off, but it’s better than nothing.

LG PuriCare 360 Design and Size

The LG PuriCare 360 design takes cues from LG’s own LG PuriCare AS560DWR0, almost as if this was a “what if we simplified our own flagship” exercise.

In fact, you can feel the LG PuriCare 360 as the middle body of the flagship AS560DWR0, but a little taller to be the new budget LG air purifier. To be exact, it is the LG PuriCare AS330DWR0 without the top control panel – the signature thing to differentiate an LG air purifier with others on the market.

The perforated body and top-mounted touch panel of the LG PuriCare 360’s front and back meet at a clean seam, echoing the flagships’ looks, albeit without the tilting head that defined the AS560DWR0 and AS330DWR0. Instead, it has a compact, all-white cylindrical body with a perforated mesh housing on the front, with the height of only 20 inches, and diameter of 12.4 inches. It’s definitely smaller than the AS330DWR0.

The LG PuriCare 360 is also relatively light at 14.9 lbs. Even so, it still feels substantial, suggesting LG used high-quality materials throughout the unit. The air purifier feels solid, well-built, and durable.

LG PuriCare 360 Filters

The LG PuriCare 360 uses the same 3-stage air filtration system as its siblings, which has become the core foundation of LG’s air purifier lineup.

1. Pre-filter – A mesh pre-filter helps capture large particles before they contact the HEPA filter. You can add an additional specialized pre-filter outside the base filter to target pet odor or smoke.
2. True HEPA filter – The main HEPA filter captures 99.97% of down to 0.3 microns allergens, virus particles, pollen, mold and fungi particles.
3. Activated Carbon filter – The deodorization filter catches odors, smoke and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) like formaldehyde.

The LG PuriCare 360 has 2 different specialized pre-filter for you to choose. The Pet pre-filter mainly targets ammonia inside pet odors, and the Smoke pre-filter for nitrogen dioxide. Both these pre-filters are not included in the base LG PuriCare 360 package, and you must purchase separately.

The primary NanoFiber True HEPA layer captures an average of 99.97% of airborne particles as small as 0.3 microns. LG developed this True HEPA filter in-house, and its performance has been validated through testing by multiple laboratories in South Korea.

For the test, the LG PuriCare 360 did quite good at dealing with 99.9% of all particles down to 0.3 microns. This performance is better than both the Medify MA-35 and Medify MA-40UV (the below chart image has something wrong in the name, we’re sorry for this inconvenience).

For filter replacement, the LG PuriCare 360 would ask you $89 for one year, which is quite high for a $299 air purifier.

LG PuriCare 360 Room Coverage

Again, the Breathe Quality lab test shows that the LG PuriCare 360 is far better for the room coverage of 400 square feet, not 2,059 like what LG suggested.

The ACH of the LG PuriCare 360 AS601HBB0 is 4X. At maximum power, the air purifier can clean the air every 15 minutes.

The CADR of the LG PuriCare 360 AS601HBB0 is 277-282 cfm in general. It is quite competitive for its price, actually, being higher than even the LG PuriCare AS330DWR0 and LG PuriCare AeroTower at more money.

LG PuriCare 360 Sound

The LG PuriCare 360 is good at keeping its noise level low, showing how good LG’s acoustic design is. Its lowest noise level is only 25 decibels (dB), making it as quiet as a whisper, so you won’t notice it running.

On the highest speed, the noise level is okay at 53 dB, which is comparable to light rainfall.

LG PuriCare 360 Power Consumption

One of our most FAQs is “Do air purifiers use a lot of energy?” In fact, air purifier must be used for a long time to be efficient. And power consumption is one important criteria to review how much energy this air purifier will consume.

Years ago, LG would bring its air purifiers for Energy Star certification, but the LG PuriCare 360 has opted out of the marketing rating. However, the power consumption of the LG PuriCare 360 is okay at 41 watts, so it has very high performance per watt.

If you use the LG PuriCare 360 for 8 hours each day, it would cost you just $18 per year.

LG PuriCare 360 Additional Features

Being an LG air purifier, the LG PuriCare 360’s biggest strength is its Wi-Fi capability through the ThinQ app. It can control the air purifier remotely and provide smart diagnostics to help you decide which mode you should run on the LG PuriCare 360.

The LG PuriCare 360 also has the most advanced Smart Sensors to help it detect changes in air quality. It is necessary to run the Auto mode, which automatically adjusts the fan speed based on the current indoor air quality.
