Fitting an air purifier into a necklace no thicker than 0.95 inches while meeting potential demand to clean the air around you was no mean feat, but thanks to the advanced technology of the ionizer that many air purifier brands can bring such device to our lives.

From the back, we have here a clip to hold this air purifier in any pocket, for example the breast pocket of your shirt. The clip is good at doing its job, but if you want to use the air purifier while jogging or running, I suggest to wear it around your neck.

InvisiClean Personal Mini Air Purifier Filters

For an air purifier that is only 1/5 the size and weight of the personal Airdog FitAir, and nowhere near the size of the IQAir Atem, we can guess that the InvisiClean Personal Mini Air Purifier is just a simple ionizer, without complex mechanical air filters like its brothers. So to say, the air cleaning system of this device is only including 1 thing.

1. Ionizer – Vital ionize destroys harmful airborne allergens.

We have experienced the good performance of InvisiClean ionizer from its popular console air purifiers, like InvisiClean Aura or InvisiClean Claro, and the mini air purifier is a lot weaker. It can only generate 3 – 3.5 million ions per second, and maximum of 5 million ions per second when plugged in.

And there is one problem, the ionizer of InvisiClean Personal Mini Air Purifier hasn’t been certified by the California Air Resources Board (CARB) for the safety of ozone emission. Though I do not find any situation with high ozone emission (because of the little amount of ions being generated), you should be aware of the problem that high ozone emission can irritate asthma and some respiratory issues.

InvisiClean Personal Mini Air Purifier Room Coverage

The InvisiClean Personal Mini Air Purifier is only meant for personal use, and its effective range is only 1-2 ft. If you use the IC-103 (fan version), the fan can spread ions and increases its effectiveness at longer distances, which is 1-4 ft.

There is no ACH or CADR rating for this air purifier, because basically this device doesn’t use the fan to move the air like common air purifiers. Instead, the ions will anchor the pollutants and lay it on the floor or walls.

InvisiClean Personal Mini Air Purifier Sound

Problem with the built-in ionizer is the crackling noise from the ions. Even without the fan, the InvisiClean Personal Mini Air Purifier is really noisy, and because it must be placed near you, there is no way to fix that annoying noise.

Our testing unit, with a fan on, can produce the noise level of 60 decibels (db). This is quite audible and, for people who are sensitive with the noise, it is unacceptable.

InvisiClean Personal Mini Air Purifier Power Consumption

A full recharged InvisiClean Personal Mini Air Purifier can last for 240 hours when running without the fan function. If you use the IC-103 with the fan on, the air purifier can only last for 8 hours unplugged.

Sure, it is cheap, and you can bring it outside your home, however the possible problem of ozone emission and its annoying noise can keep anyone from buying it. There are still positive reviews for this device, but I can’t verify them for you.
