Aprilaire 2310 Price

After the Aprilaire 2210, the American company quickly released the Aprilaire 2310, making it the latest version of the old Aprilaire 1310. The Aprilaire 2410 follows its brothers to complete the 2000 series.

Under the original coat of steel, we will have a real MERV-13 air filter, which has taken place to confirm Aprilaire’s status as the best whole-home air cleaner. The overall performance has improved significantly.

Aprilaire 2310 will cost you $129, which is $20 more than its predecessors from the 1000 series. It serves directly as the Aprilaire 1310 with a new air filter, but when the 313 filter is only $7 more expensive than the 310 filter, we will wonder whether the Aprilaire 2310 is worth the money.

You should look for the Honeywell F200 as an alternative to the Aprilaire 2310, which also has the MERV-13 air filter. However, the Honeywell F200 can be quickly upgraded to the Honeywell F300, while you need to buy the Aprilaire 5000 all by yourself.

Aprilaire 2310 remains the same size as Aprilaire 1310, and based on the height, it is the medium-sized dog in the 2000 series. Its height is 20.4 inches, while the depth is only 22 inches. For weight, the Aprilaire 2310 is the most lightweight one, with only 15 lbs.

Aprilaire 2310 just uses the same 20 x 20 air filter as Model 1310. The UL-classified cabinet is made of corrosion-resistant, heavy-gauge, pre-painted steel. Moreover, the air cleaner has a proprietary door design and Self-Seal technology to eliminate unfiltered air bypass, delivering MERV performance as rated.

Aprilaire 2310 Filters

With the power of MERV-13 air filter, the Aprilaire 2310 is indeed better than the original Aprilaire 1310 packing with only MERV-11 air filter. Below is the actual performance rating of the Aprilaire 2310.

1. HEPA filter – Just like other HVAC system’s filter, Aprilaire 2310 will use the MERV-13 air filter, which can remove 98% of pollen and mold, 97% of airborne bacteria and fungi, 96% of pet dander and other dust. Moreover, it can filter out nearly 75% of tobacco smoke and smog.

We will give you a comparison table for both 310 and 313 air filters.

Though the total efficiency for large dust is quite similar to the MERV-11 air filter, the MERV-13 air filter has at least doubled the performance rating for trapping any particles as small as 0.3 microns. Such size is also the reason for its ability to cause serious allergies and asthma for you and your family.

The Aprilaire 2310 can swap the air filter with the Aprilaire 1310 to get a simple media change. So to say, both air cleaners can have exactly the same power if they store the same air filter inside. So to say, if you own a model 1310 in your home, you don’t need to buy the new cabinet.

You should change the filter annually for Aprilaire 2310 to keep the best performance. The 310 filter costs $59, and you can choose the 310 air filter instead for only $52.

Aprilaire 2310 Room Coverage

All air purifiers under the 2000 series, including the Aprilaire 2310, are able to work with the whole-home HVAC system and can clean rooms up to 2000 square feet easily.

The Aprilaire 2310 is not a common air purifier with fan power, so we can’t measure its ACH and CADR rating.

Aprilaire 2310 Sound

Without fan power, Aprilaire 2310 won’t produce any noise. And actually, the Aprilaire 2310 will work in unison with your existing heating, ventilating, and cooling system (HVAC) to filter all contaminants in your air, so there is no way you can see it in your living areas.

So to say, this isn’t even a selling point of Aprilaire 2310, and you should bypass this section at all.

Aprilaire 2310 Power Consumption

One of our most FAQs is “Do air purifiers use a lot of energy?” In fact, air purifiers must be used for a long time to be efficient. And power consumption is one important criterion to review to determine if this air purifier is good or not.

In the case of the Aprilaire 9550 series, the limited warranty is only effective for 1 year, and you don’t have the Clean Coil Guarantee.

Our verdict

Again, I don’t recommend buying the Aprilaire 2310, unless you really need the MERV-13 air filter immediately.
