Aprilaire 2410 Price

Sure, the Aprilaire 2000 series is great, but it stayed awkwardly between the more affordable 1000 series and the smarter 3000 series. People will decide to go budget with an Aprilaire 1410 or pay more for an Aprilaire 3410 with an included thermostat rather than spend money on an Aprilaire 2410.

An upgrade to MERV-13 is available, but because of its nature, the Model 1410 can store the same air filter as the newer Aprilaire 2410. It leaves us with a difficult question: What are the differences between Aprilaire 2410 and older Aprilaire 1410?

Aprilaire 2410, just like Aprilaire 2310, costs you $129 It is the next-gen version of Model 1410; however, you should notice it is $20 more expensive than its predecessor. At the same time, the MERV-13 air filter only costs $7 more than the original MERV-11 filter.

If you want the same performance, I guess the Honeywell F200 (with MERV-13) is the best alternative. However, the Honeywell F200 can be quickly upgraded to the Honeywell F300, while you need to buy the Aprilaire 5000 all by yourself.

The Aprilaire 2410 uses the same cabinet as the Aprilaire 1410 and Aprilaire 3410, with the shortest size of all 2000 series. The height is only 17.75 inches, but it widens the depth to 30 inches. For the weight, the air cleaner is 17 lbs, which is lighter than the Aprilaire 2210.

Aprilaire 2410 just uses the same 16 x 25 air filter as Models 1410 and 3410. The UL-classified cabinet is made of corrosion-resistant, heavy-gauge, pre-painted steel. Moreover, the air cleaner has a proprietary door design and Self-Seal technology to eliminate unfiltered air bypass, delivering MERV performance as rated.

Aprilaire 2410 Filters

Let’s see the core power of the Aprilaire 2410, which is one in the Aprilaire whole-home air cleaner series 2000.

1. HEPA filter – Just like other HVAC system’s filter, Aprilaire 2410 will use the MERV-13 air filter, which can remove 98% of pollen and mold, 97% of airborne bacteria and fungi, 96% of pet dander and other dust. Moreover, it can filter out nearly 75% of tobacco smoke and smog.

Compare with the original Aprilaire 1410, we can easily see the difference between two model, in terms of performance.

The MERV-13 air filter is the best choice for homeowners who suffer from allergies because it can capture the tiniest impurities (down to 0.3 microns) with higher efficiency.

The state-of-the-art filter media is available for not only the Aprilaire 2410, but the later Aprilaire 3410, and even the older model 1410. If they all use the same air filter, we will get the same performance in trapping pollutants.

Moreover, the MERV-13 413 air filter costs $59, just $7 more than the MERV-11 410 air filter. You should consider which air filter to get to meet your requirements.

Aprilaire 2410 Room Coverage

All air purifiers under the 2000 series, including the Aprilaire 2410, are able to work with the whole-home HVAC system and can clean rooms up to 2000 square feet easily.

The Aprilaire 2410 is not a common air purifier with fan power, so we can’t measure its ACH and CADR rating.

Aprilaire 2410 Sound

Without fan power, the Aprilaire 2410 won’t produce any noise. And actually, the Aprilaire 2410 will work in unison with your existing heating, ventilating, and cooling system (HVAC) to filter all contaminants in your air, so there is no way you can see it in your living areas.

So to say, this isn’t even a selling point of Aprilaire 2410, and you should bypass this section at all.
