Other Airthereal’s Air Purifier Reviews:
Airthereal AZH200 Price
The Airthereal AZH200 doesn’t interest us at first. It is very much like a cheap Chinese air purifier from a no-name brand. Suddenly, we have a free model from our customer, and we decide to give it a quick review.
It isn’t a problem with Airthereal, as the company is still making budget air purifiers. The Airthereal AZH200 is only $79, which is suitable for what it can deliver. It is even cheaper than the Airthereal APH260 – the staple unit of Airthereal.
You’re going to see the Airthereal AZH200 mostly compete against the Blueair Mini Restful, and since the air purifier + dehumidifier combo market at this price range is quite small, the Airthereal AZH200 may appeal to certain people.

Airthereal AZH200 Design and Size
At first glance, the Airthereal AZH200 gives me an impression of an old product from Partu – a brand that is completly dead several years ago. Perhaps that’s why I don’t really want to buy the Airthereal AZH200 for a review. The design is a bit special with an elevated air outlet, and that’s all. It doesn’t support the dehumidifier function found in the Airthereal AZH200, to the point that if you really need a dehumidifier, this air purifier is a waste.
Talk a bit about the dehumidifier function. We have an automatic drain hole behind the Airthereal AZH200, as well as a 24-oz water tank. Both work as intended, though I sometimes find leakage from the drain hose.
The Airthereal AZH200 is a small unit that you will find mostly in bathroom or RV, where the dehumidifier part is needed. At 7.5 x 7.5 x 14.5 inches, the Airthereal AZH200 is far smaller than the new Airthereal AEH300.
It is also the smallest unit of Airthereal at the moment, at only 6.5 lbs.

Airthereal AZH200 Filters
Normally, we will check the quality and quantity of the air filters to decide its performance, as well as the air filter types being used. Airthereal will keep it simple this time for the Airthereal AZH200, with a 3-stage air cleaning system
- Pre-filter – A simple nylon preliminary filter covers the True HEPA filter, to prolong the life time of the core filter, by trapping the large objects of pollutants like fur, hair and large dust.
- True HEPA filter – With the True HEPA filter, this air purifier can capture 99.97% of as small as 0.3 microns allergens, virus particles, pollen, mold and fungi particles.
- Activated Carbon filter – The honeycombed carbon filter from Airthereal is always high-quality, to help reduce odors, smoke and other smells.
Airthereal is good at delivering air purifiers with high fan power, but as a budget air purifier with dehumidifier add-on, the Airthereal AZH200 is a bit weaker. In the test designed for the most budget air purifiers, the Airthereal AZH200 can capture only 97.64% of all particles down to 0.3 microns.

Airthereal AZH200 Room Coverage
Airthereal opts out of all Energy Star room coverage tests, and the suggested 270 square feet for the Airthereal AZH200 is a little bit larger. We should only aim to use the air purifier for 120 square feet.
The ACH of the Airthereal AZH200 is 4X.
The CADR of the Airthereal AZH200 is 50 cfm in general.

Airthereal AZH200 Sound
All Airthereal air purifiers try to achieve the lowest noise level of only 32 decibels (dB). The highest noise level of this air purifier can reach 45 decibels, a bit higher than most standalone air purifiers.
However, its noise level is acceptable, and if you want to sleep with this Airthereal AZH200, set it to its lowest speed.

Airthereal AZH200 Power Consumption
One of our most FAQs is “Do air purifiers use a lot of energy?” In fact, air purifier must be used for a long time to be efficient. And power consumption is one important criteria to review if this air purifier is good or not.
As a dehumidifier in an air purifier, the power consumption of the Airthereal AZH200 will be a lot higher than normal, at 80 watts. For this air purifier only, we decided to adjust the annual cost ranking a little bit, to be more specific.
If you run the Airthereal AZH200 for 8 hours per day, it would cost you $35 each year.

Airthereal AZH200 Additional Features
The Airthereal AZH200 is a dehumidifier inside its air purifier form, so it needs the basic features of a dehumidifier: a full tank indicator for auto shutoff, as well as an auto defrost feature. It also has a built-in timer, and you can adjust between 8, 12 and 24 hours.
Other than that, we only have a simple Sleep mode, which reduces the fan speed to its lowest speed. It lacks the LED indicator for filter replacement, so you need to take note the day.

Our verdict
With little to no competition at this price point, obviously, the Airthereal AZH200 isn’t a leap in innovation after all. We don’t suggest buying it, but we know that some of our readers are desperate to have a dehumidifier combo at this price point, so at least the Airthereal AZH200 is from a brand that we all know.
