Of the three IQAir flagships launched, the IQAir HealthPro Compact is the most concerned of the lot. Not because of the strength of the specs – the HealthPro Plus is slightly ahead in a lot of areas – but what you’re “saving” by going for this model far outweighs what you’re losing. A powerful air filtration process and a better room coverage for the lower price. So, don’t hesitate and check our IQAir HealthPro Compact Review (also known as IQAir HealthPro 100) out first.
Update: This is now the review for the latest version IQAir HealthPro Compact XE.
IQAir HealthPro Compact XE ranks B in our air purifier ranking list. We give the biggest and most thorough database of air purifier reviews in the world.
In Breathe Quality, we have reviewed all air purifiers under these sections. Also, we guarantee that:
- We do give honest reviews (both pros and cons) so anyone will guarantee to have the wisest choices.
- We do not (and never) exaggerate one product just to let you click the links and buy that product blindly.
Sections
- Well-built with highest quality materials
- Best fan power among IQAir
- Impressive quiet
- 10-year warranty
- Even more expensive
- A bit heavy for a compact air purifier
- No Activated Carbon filter
The rumors of IQAir releasing a truly budget air purifier never materialized. Instead, we got the IQAir HealthPro Compact: this takes inspiration from the HealthPro Plus and GC MultiGas albeit with a few caveats. There is no Activated Carbon filter and the size is slightly smaller. For me, none of the sacrifices really affect the quality of the device. Guess why, follow our IQAir HealthPro Compact Review to know the reasons.

IQAir HealthPro Compact Price
IQAir has managed to make the IQAir HealthPro Compact seem like their ‘cheap’ flagship. Yes, it’s cheaper compared to the launched HealthPro Plus and especially the GC MultiGas, but we’re talking $799 compared with $899, which is hardly budget. To the average price-conscious, brand-neutral buyer this is a long way from a ‘cheap IQAir’.
And now, it’s 2026, and the IQAir HealthPro Compact is comfortably sitting at the high-range segment, with its new price tag of $1099.
To the IQAir fan who wants to stick with the brand though, the IQAir HealthPro Compact offers a much cheaper way to get a flagship model without having to pay the sky-high prices of the bigger duo, without sacrificing too much in terms of performance. Instead, it comes with a cheeky amount more performance than one might expect.
Otherwise, if you can afford this much price, why don’t take a look for the Blueair Classic 605 – one flagship from the top 1 Europe air purifier brand, or Airmega 400S – the signature machine of Coway, another giant in air purifying industry. If you prefer the lifetime warranty for your air purifier, you can’t find any others than this Alen BreatheSmart 75i.
Still stick with the more expensive device? We will provide you the best deal as possible below.

IQAir HealthPro Compact Design and Size
$100 is the price difference between the portable IQAir HealthPro Compact and IQAir’s top-of-the-line air purifiers. It’s mostly the price difference between the 24-inch and the 28-inch in height, other dimensions like depth and width stay the same. Apart from the size, the IQAir HealthPro Compact and HealthPro Plus are far more similar than not: they share the same full stainless steel body, a bottom-to-top air flow structure, the curves at the bottom and of course, an optional set of 4 wheels (casters).
Just like any other IQAir’s machines, the IQAir HealthPro Compact makes use of the 3D Ultra Seal technology, to prevent the polluted air from getting out without being purified first. This is truly the definition of Swiss-design, which is a sign of outstanding quality, uniqueness, superior design, innovation, precision and reliability.

The bottom-to-top air flow also stays here with the IQAir HealthPro Compact, which draws the air in from the intake air vent at the bottom. After that, this air purifier will distribute the fresh air evenly in your room thanks to the EvenFlow Diffuser technology, or in another word, the 320 Degree air delivery from the top. Remember that this is the 320 Degree outlet air flow, which is unique from IQAir, and increase the amount of clean air to your room. Also, you will have a touch pad control panel on top of this IQAir HealthPro Compact.

Even though it follows the near edge-to-edge look of the IQAir HealthPro Plus, a decrease in height means a much lighter air purifier. The IQAir HealthPro Compact is only 26.5 lbs, which is the smallest in the top 3 flagships of IQAir. However, I know lots of people who still find the compact air purifier from this brand is too heavy, and would prefer something more portable. The IQAir HealthPro Compact certainly isn’t that. You need to look outside the IQAir brand, for example the AIRMEGA 400S is only 24.7 lbs, and the Alen BreatheSmart 75i is 27 lbs. It seems there is no device with extraordinary performance that is also as light as a mouse.

IQAir HealthPro Compact Filters
Being 4 inches less in height, the IQAir HealthPro Compact just, literally, reduces one layer of air filtration compared with the HealthPro Plus. That means you will have only 2-stage air cleaning system in this compact air purifier of IQAir.
- PreMax filter – A powerful pre-filter which can reduce most of the large objects of airborne pollutant particles and protect the subsequent filters.
- HyperHEPA filter – The #1 True HEPA filter which can filter out both fine and ultra-fine particles, including bacteria, viruses and combustion particles.
Firstly, the IQAir HealthPro Compact still offers the perfect PreMax filter, one of the best HEPA pre-filter in the world. This PreMax filter is certified and guaranteed to capture more than 55% of down to 0.3 microns particles of contaminants like pollen, pet hair and large dust. Notice that this pre-filter is not permanent, and you need to change it every 18 months.
The last and the most important line of defense in this IQAir HealthPro Compact is the true HyperHEPA filter. Using the HyperHEPA H12/13, IQAir HealthPro Compact is strictly tested to capture 99.97% of as small as 0.3 microns ultra-fine particles like household dust, dust mites, pet dander, bacteria and mold spores. Moreover, the HyperHEPA H12/13 allows this air purifier to even capture the tiniest ultra-fine particles, with high efficiency of 95% particles with down to 0.003 microns in size.

There is one downside to compensate the $100 in price difference, this IQAir HealthPro Compact doesn’t have any activated carbon filter to combat with smoke, smells and odors. If your home has a smoker or you really need this function, you must opt-in for a more expensive IQAir device.
But still, this is one of the most powerful mechanical filtration air purifiers in the world, with the most progressive HEPA filter.
In 2026, we rework the air purifier ranking list, so the IQAir HealthPro Compact needs to tackle a more difficult test in Breathe Quality (700 square feet) because of its high price. It becomes a problem if we expect air purifiers around $700 to perform the same as models priced over $1,000, right? As a result, the IQAir HealthPro Compact can only capture 97% of all particles down to 0.3 microns, after 1 hour.

Because IQAir HealthPro Compact uses the same HyperHEPA filter with the bigger brother, it shares the same filter replacement cost. Sadly, I hope the ‘cheaper’ IQAir device to have a more affordable filter replacement cost, but that’s just a dream. In reality, you need to pay for $199 for the latest HyperHEPA H12/13. But the bright side is thanks to the PreMax filter, this HyperHEPA can last for up to 4 years, which is truly incredible. For doubling the filter’s cost compared with other high-end machines like Blueair Classic 605, you get quadruple the time of usage.

IQAir HealthPro Compact Room Coverage
My IQAir HealthPro Compact even surpass the extra-large room coverage of other IQAir’s flagships. This air purifier can cover a room of up to 1240 square feet in versus of normal 1125 square feet from the HealthPro Plus or the GC MultiGas.
The ACH of the IQAir HealthPro Compact is 5X. This air changes per hour rating is sharing between IQAir devices, allowing the air purifier to clean the room every 12 minutes.
The CADR of the IQAir HealthPro Compact is 330 cfm in general. With the New Edition fan, the IQAir HealthPro Compact can deliver up to 41% more clean air.

IQAir HealthPro Compact Sound
Being the smaller version, the IQAir HealthPro Compact doesn’t improve anything for the noise level. It still makes use of an aerodynamics fan design and an addition of 8 shock absorbers to operate in silent mode.
With 6 fan speeds, the IQAir HealthPro Compact runs 22 decibels at the lowest setting. This noise level is one of the lowest among other air purifiers for large room, which is as quiet as the whisper or the rustling leaves.
At the highest setting, the IQAir HealthPro Compact has a same noise level with the HealthPro Plus – 57 decibels (db). For the same price, the IQAir HealthPro Compact is quieter than the Blueair Classic 605 with 62 decibels, but will still lose to the Airmega 400S with only 52 decibels and the Alen BreatheSmart 75i with 49 decibels.
If you want to use this air purifier in places demanding silence, there is no need to hesitate.

IQAir HealthPro Compact Power Consumption
As one of the most criteria when deciding to buy an air purifier, one of our most FAQs is “Do air purifiers use a lot of energy?”. In fact, an air purifier needs to run for a long time (usually more than 8 hours) to be efficient.
Just like the HealthPro Plus, the IQAir HealthPro Compact consumes 27 watts at lowest setting and 215 watts at the highest fan speed. In standby mode, this air purifier runs with less than 1 watt. If you are looking for a better energy-saving air purifier, I think the Alen BreatheSmart 75i with 49 watts at highest setting is the best candidate.
Let’s have a quick math, for using the IQAir HealthPro Compact 8 hours per day, you will need to pay from $12 to $94 annually, depending on which mode you run the most.

IQAir HealthPro Compact Additional Features
As a smaller version of the IQAir HealthPro Plus, I believe that what I’ve written before can be applying in this review.
Out of the box, you will have a remote control to easily program your IQAir HealthPro Compact. The control features include:
Programmable operating options.Filter-life monitoring.Color-coded lights indicate when a filter change is needed.
IQAir has upgraded their previous lineup into the “XE” edition (eXtra Efficiency?), and the new IQAir HealthPro Compact XE will have enough smart features out-of-the-box. Previously, you need to buy an individual IQAir sensor for your unit, but now the IQAir HealthPro Compact packs with an integrated sensor that can detect PM2.5 matters. As a result, it has a new Auto Mode feature, to automatically adjust fan speed based on your environment’s pollution.
You can use the AirVisual app to control the IQAir HealthPro Compact now, because the device can connect to Wi-Fi easily. The app can control the air purifier remotely, and you can schedule timer for the IQAir HealthPro Compact. It will alert you when to replace the filter, too.

Our verdict
Being the cheaper product in IQAir’s flagship devices, the IQAir HealthPro Compact is still not for everyone with a high price tag. If you can pay for $1099, a top-up of $100 will make you happier with the best Activated carbon filter in the world – the IQAir HealthPro Plus.
