The Pure Enrichment PureZone‘s tech may not be class-leading in every respect but this is one of the most expensive looking air purifiers you can get at the price. With more than 10480 reviews and 4.5/5 rated, this air purifier is also one of the most purchased air purifiers at the moment, a very impressive device from a great air purifier brand. Today, we are proud to deliver to you the Pure Enrichment PureZone 3-in-1 Review, the first and most popular name of Pure Enrichment.
In Breathe Quality, we have reviewed all air purifiers under these sections. Also, we guarantee that:

- We do not (and never) exaggerate one product just to let you click the links and buy that product blindly.
Sections
- Great performance with True HEPA and UV-C light filters
- Eye-catching finish
- Ease of use
- The color is quite cheap
- Low CADR rating
- Doesn’t have any features
Pure Enrichment is not a big brand or anything else related. Instead, this is a true air purifier brand targeting at only the low-range market for the time being, and after the release of PureZone Halo, I don’t know when they will aim for a bigger target. But don’t get me wrong, their Pure Enrichment PureZone is still the best choice for anyone who just want a good and decent air purifier after all, without worrying about the unusual high cost. We will, together, find out more in this Pure Enrichment PureZone Review.
Pure Enrichment PureZone Price
Cheap air purifiers can be great, but what you must trade off to get one air purifier that doesn’t cost you the earth? For any under $100 air purifiers, that could be the small room coverage, the little filter media (meaning lower capability of air filtration) or the lack of necessary features. This is also the reign for many air purifiers with well-received positive reviews on Amazon.
Like I said earlier, until now the Pure Enrichment has only targeted on low-range budget, and whatever their Pure User program is contributing to them, they only develop a small number of air purifiers to us. The Pure Enrichment PureZone is inarguable the golden egg of this brand, even after the release of the Pure Enrichment PureZone Elite. The PureZone has everything for a budget air purifier, including a great support service to help you solve any problems.
But back to the price, the Pure Enrichment PureZone is really a great value-for-money air purifier, as the official price is only $129. However, if you want more discount, you can always grab our deal and have a better price for this PureZone, just only $99. If you need a more budget air purifier from this brand, considering choose the PureZone Halo or PureZone Breeze instead.
With the including of UV-C light filter, the PureZone is the direct competitors of GermGuardian AC5250PT, InvisiClean Aura and SilverOnyx. If you don’t have any idea of the additional UV-C light filter, you can choose the Whirlpool WPT60, Winix P150 or AeraMax 100 instead. They are such great performers for the price to buy.
So, this is one rung above the most basic model of Pure Enrichment, and we have a right to expect a decent experience.
Pure Enrichment PureZone 3-in-1 True HEPA air purifier – 3 speeds plus UV-C air sanitizer.

Pure Enrichment PureZone Design and Size
We’ve come to expect air purifiers at this price to feel cheap and tacky. The Pure Enrichment PureZone is the total opposite of this: its all-plastic body isn’t anything like the rest of the budget air purifiers on the market. And talking about the all-plastic body, isn’t it available in most of other high-end air purifiers, right?
But the PureZone is still a simple-looking, inoffensive air purifier. It comes in only white model, has a plain plastic coat and is slightly chunky. It does make us a feeling of unibody, though like every air purifier, the idea of ‘unibody’ is not realistic enough. It’s not going to turn heads, but it’s not likely to turn many off either.
The PureZone’s styling is quite unique, with two sides air intake grill and one big top air outlet. It uses the traditional bottom-to-top air flow system concept, just like the Levoit LV-H132 or Blue Pure 411. However, the shape of this PureZone is much likely to a portable console air purifier like Winix P150, rather than these aforementioned compact tower devices.
For the size, the Pure Enrichment PureZone is just 12 inches in height, and 11 inches in width. You can literally put it anywhere in your house, but make sure to only choose the hard surface so the air purifier can work properly.
The top control panel, well, I don’t find anything interested here. It is simple and easy to use, with touch button technology.

This air purifier is only 6 lbs, and from what I have experienced here, you can always move it to anywhere you like.

Pure Enrichment PureZone Filters
The high quality and air filter types are always the absolute metric when determining the performance of one air purifier, yet marketing types have been keen for years to have the world believe that the more air filters, the better. The Pure Enrichment PureZone 3-in-1, not the same as its name implies, will clean your room with a 4-stage air cleaning system.
- Pre-filter – This first pre-filter is able to capture initial dust and allergen particles with large objects.
- Activated Carbon Filter – This Activated Carbon filter is the necessary filter to adsorb formaldehyde, benzene and other noxious gases, odors and smokes.
- True HEPA filter – A True HEPA Filter can reduce 99.97% of down to 0.3 microns all contaminant particles like dust, dust mites, pollen, pet dander or even mold spores.
- UV-C Light – With an UV-C light bulb, this air purifier can destroy micro-organisms such as germs, viruses, bacteria and fungi.
The HEPA filter of PureZone is quite slimmer than the average air filter in the market, but it is as slim as a compact air purifier can go without being terrible. The performance is just okay, and thanks to the additional support of UV-C light filter, this air purifier still can deal with many types of airborne allergens.

Of course, we can’t just go without seeing the actual test for performance. Guessing from other specs, I believe a room test of 100 square feet is really suitable for this Pure Enrichment PureZone. Also, I chose the Blue Pure 411, GermGuardian AC4825 and SilverOnyx as the contenders to compare with the power of our today unit. We will have the result soon, and the PureZone was truly great in this test, with high efficiency of 99.9% for trapping any particles down to 0.3 microns. It is still below the SilverOnyx with 99.92%, but is better than the Blue Pure 411 with only 99.5%. You can see the chart below to check the position of Pure Enrichment PureZone in this race.
For an air filter that lasts for 6 months, PureZone only costs you $19. It is cheaper compared with the air filter of Honeywell HPA060 with $32, or SilverOnyx with $34 in the same 6-month duration. The twin pack of UV-C bulb to work with the Pure Enrichment PureZone (model: PEAIRPLG) is only effective for every 12 months or 9000 hours (whichever comes first). Sadly, the UV-C bulb is out of stock at the time of writing, and I will update as soon as possible.

Pure Enrichment PureZone Room Coverage
Other specs of this PureZone 3-in-1 are also entry-level. The second important criteria to decide the performance of one air purifier is the room coverage, and I bet this air purifier is maximum available for a room of up to 200 square feet.
The ACH of PureZone is only 2X. Like most other $100 air purifiers, the Pure Enrichment PureZone 3-in-1 can exchange the air in your room every 30 minutes.
The CADR of PureZone is 80 cfm in general. With a quite similar CADR rating to SilverOnyx and Whirlpool WPT60, the PureZone 3-in-1 is able to clean a room of 200 square feet fairly quick.

Pure Enrichment PureZone Sound
As you can see from the size of this air purifier, you can easily guess the Pure Enrichment PureZone is certainly suitable for the bedroom the most. For a bedroom-centric air purifier like that, the Pure Enrichment PureZone doesn’t disappoint us with the whisper-quiet operation.
The noise level on lowest fan speed is just 30 decibels (db), such a noise level of the true whisper. I bet that you won’t hear anything from this air purifier when it is running on low. But don’t worry, it works just fine.
This Pure Enrichment PureZone has 3 fan speeds, and the highest noise level it could produce is only 50 decibels – the threshold of normal electric appliances running from 100 feet. You will hear the sound, but it won’t distract you at all. In fact, the noise level is even lower than the quiet Levoit Vista 200.

Pure Enrichment PureZone Power Consumption
One of our most FAQs is “Do air purifiers use a lot of energy?” In fact, air purifier must be used for a long time to be efficient. And power consumption is one important criteria to review how much energy this air purifier will consume.
I do understand Pure Enrichment’s desire to make the compact air purifiers with low power consumption to use, but this PureZone 3-in-1 is not one of the most energy-saving air purifiers at the moment. In fact, the power consumption of this PureZone is about 60 watts, which is higher than a lot of compact $100 air purifiers.
For running the Pure Enrichment PureZone 3-in-1 8 hours per day, you need to pay for $22 per year, which is double the energy cost from things like the Levoit LV-H132 or SilverOnyx.

Pure Enrichment PureZone Additional Features
Looking at the intuitive control panel of the PureZone, do you expect many additional features from this device? Not much, I guess, because there are only 4 simple buttons to use. And yes, none of them is the Smart feature.
The Pure Enrichment PureZone 3-in-1 is released in 2010, and it is also one basic air purifier to use. You will have a basic Timer of 2, 4 and 8 hours, as well as the LED indicator for filter replacement. That’s all for an air purifier under $100, even when the AeraMax 100 and SilverOnyx are out there delivering the Smart Sensor as their key selling point. Don’t worry, the lack of some additional features doesn’t devalue one air purifier, and you shouldn’t think about it much.

Pure Enrichment PureZone Customer Service
Though being a small air purifier company based in California, Pure Enrichment is still one of the best air purifier brands for their great and dedicated customer service. They truly care about improving the unique and high quality products, and they offer a Pure Power User program to allow you pick up and test their air purifiers 100% free. It is amazing, right?
However, this company only has one method of contact for you. You should contact them via email in their Contact page, and a member of their team will respond within two business days. If you have trouble and don’t satisfy with any air purifiers from this brand, you can easily require a refund within 60 days since the purchased day. You will get the money after up to 10 days, once your air purifier comes back to their warehouses.
Moreover, you don’t need to worry about the warranty. For any defective parts/products, your air purifier is backed up with a 5-year warranty of Pure Enrichment, and a replacement product will be sent out in a timely manner. This is one of the longest warranty duration for an air purifier brand, and that’s why people are in love with Pure Enrichment that much.
Pure Enrichment PureZone 3-in-1 True HEPA air purifier – 3 speeds plus UV-C air sanitizer.
Eliminates dust, pollen, smoke, household odors – with whisper-quiet operation and auto off timer. Comes with the industry-leading 5-year warranty.
Our verdict
The Pure Enrichment PureZone 3-in-1 fits perfectly the relatively low price. Despite of the low fan power, which is quite reasonable for a compact air purifier, the PureZone has good performance thanks to the combination of True HEPA filter and UV-C light filter, which is similar to those popular GermGuardian air purifiers.
