Airfree T800 Design and Size

If you are familiar with the style concept of air purifier, then the Airfree devices will completely change it. It doesn’t have the filters, so we can say goodbye to the concept of big fan power. Of course, the Airfree T800 still pulls in the air from the bottom, and releases the fresh air from the top grill.

It has four legs, to make space for the indoor air to come in. So the Airfree T800 is special, even among its own kind, thanks to these legs. Thankfully, this unique design doesn’t let us down, because the build quality of this plastic air purifier is pretty good for the price. The majority of the chassis is made from white plastic, but you can’t see any similarities with the closest brother of this device – Airfree FIT800 at all.

In fact, the design reminds me of the later products: Airfree Tulip and Airfree BabyAir much more. However, unlike the more expensive couple, the Airfree T800 doesn’t have any nightlight lid.

Looks-wise it’s not quite as flash as its brothers, mainly because of the personal taste to have a more compact air purifier, and the height of 12 inches is quite distinctive. However, the Airfree T800 is significantly cheaper and still looks reasonably stylish. For the width, this air purifier is only 5.1 inches, which is slightly thinner than the FIT800.

Airfree T800 Filters

The air cleaning system of Airfree is unique and exclusive in the world of air purifiers. Yes, there is no filter in this Airfree T800 and its brothers. It does purify the air with the special Airfree technology.

1. Exclusive Patented Thermodynamic TSS Technology – This technology has been independently tested in real-world conditions by ISO 17025 laboratories. The Airfree T800 destroys the microorganisms and allergens by heating it to over 400°F (200°C) and instantly sterilizing it.

The process of eliminating microorganisms is similar to boiling the water, Airfree T800 will continually draw in the air to proceed the heating, to the point that no common germs or viruses could be alive. Then it will cool the air and release to the room. Your Airfree T800 is just like a the heating resource of a 155-lb adult, and therefore can’t heat up the room much.

We should know that the heating process is not like any ionizer or UV light filtration, it won’t release any ozone and as a result, won’t trigger asthma or any breathing issues for your respiratory system.

However, all Airfree air purifiers are unable to actually capture the particulate matters, so I can’t make a normal test to show you the efficiency of the Airfree T800, or any Airfree air purifiers at all. However, if you have allergies or asthma symptoms caused by organic allergens or mold spores, you will notice a significant difference in the air quality.

The Airfree T800 is capable of dealing with not only the mold spores, it can eliminate the bacteria and viruses as well, no matter the size of the particles. It can destroy the harmful toxins and fungus freed into the air by dust mite feces and skeletons. In addition, any kind of organic smell in the tobacco smell will also be reduced.

Without the installation of air filter, you will no longer need to remember the date of filter replacement, or worry about the air filter cost anymore.

Airfree T800 Room Coverage

The Airfree T800 is meant for small rooms, and we should use it in a room of 180 square feet, based on the suggestion of the manufacturer.

Basically, the Airfree T800 is not a regular air purifier. It doesn’t use the fan as a mean to pull in the air, while the CADR rating indicates volume of filtered air delivered by an air cleaner, which is not designed for Airfree air purifiers. Also, the device needs to run gradually for uninterrupted cycle of air, so there is no ACH rating, either.

Airfree T800 Sound

Just like all air purifiers in the Airfree family, the Airfree T800 is completely silent. You won’t notice or hear any sound from this air purifier. In fact, you don’t even know if the air purifier is working or not, unless you check the top lid. If the top lid is warm, you will know your air purifier is running.

Because of the total quiet operation, you can use the Airfree T800 anywhere, no matter it’s your bedroom or in the public places like the office.

Airfree T800 Power Consumption

The Airfree T800 is an interesting compact air purifier for under $100. If you don’t like the usual expensive filter replacement cost, or you are annoyed too much by the sound of your air purifiers, then the Airfree T800 is one option.

However, its performance is low, and its overall ranking is F, so we can’t recommend this air purifier.
