For a budget air purifier, normally I don’t expect too much when reviewing the air filtration system. As a direct competitor to Levoit LV-H132, RENPHO only makes air purifier with 100% ozone-free, and this RENPHO RP-AP068 is one example with a simple 3-stage air cleaning system.

1. Pre-filter – A preliminary filter removes large particles like hair or pet dander. It also covers the True HEPA filter, and prolong its life time.
2. True HEPA filter – RENPHO RP-AP068 uses True HEPA filter to remove 99.97% of any harmful contaminants as small as 0.3 microns in size.
3. Activated Carbon filter – Neutralizes various household odors caused by cooking smells, smoking and pet odors.

There is not much to tell about this simple air filtration system of RENPHO RP-AP068, however, you should know that this air purifier is tested strictly and certified by the California Air Resources Board (CARB). So to say, it is great air purifier to love and use.

Against the competitors, RENPHO RP-AP068 isn’t inferior. I made a test for this air purifier in a room of 100 square feet, and as you can see, it matched the performance of the LV-H132. A downside of using compact air purifier is its small room coverage. The RENPHO RP-AP068 is supposed to cover 100 square feet at its maximum capability.

The ACH of RENPHO RP-AP068 is 2X. As a portable air purifier, it can only clean your room 2 times per hour.

The CADR of RENPHO RP-AP068 is 53 cfm in general, which is still better than the Levoit LV-H132 a little bit.

Here’s where the RENPHO RP-AP068 really shines. With a low fan power, the internals make RENPHO RP-AP068 quiet when operating. It is truly designed to be an air purifier for bedroom, as it has Sleep Mode and Nightlight function to show off.
