The GermGuardian AC4825 and GermGuardian AC5000 can do a lot better than this device, and you can easily tell from near 10000 reviews of them on Amazon. There is no way you could select this Holmes HAP9422-NUA, or even the new Holmes HAP9424B-NU at the moment.

For the price, the Holmes HAP9422-NUA is only $79, which seems like a big no-no to buy it right now. Perhaps the Holmes HAP424-NU or Holmes HAP242-NUC are the easier options to pick, with $10 to $40 less than our today Holmes HAP9422-NUA.

If you can stand sacrificing the fan power, you will have more True HEPA options, like Levoit Vista 200, AeraMax 100 or Whirlpool WPT60 for around $80 – $100. They are all built like a tower air purifier, with modern appearance and better features to use.

Holmes HAP9422-NUA Design and Size

What will we have here? A tower air purifier with a solid leg build, making in bullet-shape like the old classic tower folks like PureGuardian AP2200CA or PureGuardian AP2800CA, but the Holmes HAP9422-NUA has two concave holes on top.

The size of this device is similar to the big tower air purifiers of GermGuardian, with 28 inches in height. It has a black-and-white paint for the cover, and the perforated holes are tidily arranged to deliver a classic back-to-front air flow system concept.
